A Little Icon Battle. Friday November 1st
Kicking off our Month of Icon Love is A Little Icon Battle! A blend of past and present, this battle is a mini icon maker biography. The battle themes this go around will be:
1. Remake an icon from your first fandom.
2. Remake an icon from a favourite fandom.
3. Remake your favourite icon made by you in 2013.
4. Make an icon inspired by your favourite style.
5. Make an icon inspired by your favourite maker.
Icon Appreciation Month Awards: Nominations open Friday November 1st.
Celebrating the wonderful icons we've seen this year, the brilliant icon makers who've made this year beautiful, and the communities that pushed our limits and inspired us, we'll be continuing the tradition of the Icon Appreciation Month Awards! Award categories for 2013 can be found here, so have a look and begin to figure out which icons you'd like to nominate this year!
5 Little Questions: A Sort-of Friending Meme. Saturday November 2nd
An open Q&A to help break the ice and start conversations between icon makers (and, perhaps, non-icon makers too?) without the pressure of the old befriending meme model. Come chat with your fellow icon makers in a no pressure zone, and if you like, make friends along the way!
A Little Bit (Goes a Long Way): A Sort-of Concrit Meme. Friday November 8th
With little twist on the old concrit meme style, the IAM brings you a platform to offer up the stylistic approach you're going for in your own work and have other icon makers provide you with tips, trick, tutorials, inspiration, and advice to help you along your way.
Little Shop of Icon Resources. Tuesday November 12th
Because resources deserve a little love as well, we bring you resource sharing post, including: textures, screencaps, fonts, colour palettes, tutorials etc. Give a shout out to any resource that has inspired you this year!
Little Love Letters. Friday November 15th
Ever written a love letter? Well now is your chance! Drop off a little love note for an icon maker, a community, or even an icon to show your appreciation! [Poetry optional but definitely welcome if you feel inspired! ;)]
A Little Surprise Activity! Friday November 22nd
This activity we'll be keeping under wraps until the 22nd so keep your eyes peeled! I promise, you're going to love it!
Icon Appreciation Month Awards: Voting beings Sunday November 24th!
Nominations are in, and now it's time to vote on all those gorgeous icons that caught people's eye over the course of the year. It's going to be a tough one!
Icon Appreciation Month Awards: RESULTS! - Saturday November 30th.
...But we'll make it through, right? The results are in, and now it's time to hand out the awards, in true icon style!
A Little Icon Battle. REVEAL! - Sunday December 1st.
But wait! There's more! That's right, bringing the IAM to a breath-taking close are the Little Icon battle results, and boy, I bet they're going to be beautiful! Remember to check them out and share the love!
