Drunk CPR?

I just got a call from one of our employees. She was drunk (and yes, she is on the clock). She is drunk about 95% of the time she calls. She keeps me on the phone forever rambling about how much she hates the company and our bosses and how everything we do ticks her off. Oh, and she tries to make me talk to her pet bird ( Read more... )

Wow, I thought my work was bad for putting up with people that really shouldn't be working! Maybe kemystrie or gailadora would know about the whole alcohol thing, cuz I sure don't.
Oh, I see from your other LJ icon that you're a Superman fan, if you ever want to watch Smallville (even though it is very messed up and different than the real Superman) I have the first five seasons on DVD if you ever want to borrow them. After Buffy and Angel it's one of my favorite shows :) Hope you have a good day!

Superman and I, sadly, have broken up. I used to be Superman obsessed. Okey, obsessed would be putting it lightly. I had a whole room in my house devoted to Superman memorabilia. I am in the process of selling it all off. It's one of the only ways that my OCD shows itself anymore. I get really really into something for awhile (in this case, about 10 years), and then I'm done. I appreciate the offer to watch Smallville, though! I would like to see an episode with James Marsters, just out of curiosity.

Awww. That's completely understandable - I have had many interests that have since become unintersting. But sure, James Marsters is in Season 5, which I got for my birthday and finished a few weeks ago. He plays a villain and is one of those characters I hate just for how he always seems to mess up my happy endings! He does a great job in the role though - I just have to realize that everything can't always have a happy ending...despite how I might want it to end. You'd think I'd have learned that from Joss Whedon, huh?

Yes! No one likes to screw up a happy ending like Joss does. I, too, wish everything could just have a happy ending. When I was a kid, I always thought that Disney movies would've been so much better without the villains. I suppose it's boring, but I like stories without so much of an antagonist factor. Unless, of course, it's something like Labyrinth, where I'm totally on the side of the "villain" (thanks, Summer!).
