Yes, it's that time again. It's been a few years since I've done this, so some of my new friends will now be indoctrinated into my yearly speech about St. Patrick's Day

Thanks for the information! I knew a little about the origins of St. Patrick's Day but the part about the shamrock is fascinating! I totally think that commercialization of holidays and most religious events is awful - completely ruins the sentimentality/importance of them. In spite of this, I hope you have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day! :)

Thanks, I did have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day! *nods in agreement* It especially bothers me that the theme of this holy day has turned to one of complete and total debauchery. Now, I'm all for having a few Guinness on that day, but for most Americans, the whole point of it is to get totally wasted. It's sad to me.
