Too much nervousness for one 24-hour period

I just got an email from Samira (leader of the new troupe I'm joining- p.s. her real name is Sunnie Simmons, hee hee), and classes start on MONDAY!  WTF?  That's too soon!  How am I supposed to lose 10 pounds, get back into practice after almost two months off, get a pedicure, facial, and all new dance clothes by MONDAY?!?  I guess I'm not.  Damn

Pppfft, It'll go well. If they want you, they'll take you however (just ask rowdy). But think how impressed they'll be with your hard work when you do get all that done after starting with them. It'll make a much harder impression on them if they see you do it for the troupe (and possibly inspire them), rather than if you show up the same way all the time and they have no idea of the extra work! Now, I don't really know belly-dancing and could be off my rocker making no sense, but that's how I would see it.....

The grandma thing came out fine. The thought of me leaving did scare her straight. While she explained it as a "misunderstanding" as opposed to actually apologizing, it was the closest I've ever heard her come to admitting she was wrong.
