Anna's wedding went off without a hitch (appart from the obvious one, of course) and the How Does it Feel style reception was very enjoyable, enhanced by delicious nibbles and rivers of free wine. In summary, Bannits are cretins. drop_and_roll September 26 2006, 13:06:28 UTC
Well apparently what's broken about my desk is that the top lifts off the legs. Which is only something you'd find out by trying to lift the top off the legs. And that is clearly the way it always has been, since I have far better things to do with my time than detaching the top of my desk. If they don't give my £50 back, I will be so angry. The price of painting is extortionate, but I do accept that there wasd blu tack in my room. I refuse to accept that I am responsible for the poor assembly of the desk, something which hapopened before I moved in.

ARGH!

But legally it's irrelevant what the damage is now- Bannits have no right to have your deposit in the first place as you gave it to Lizmans, and they then sold the house to Bannits. Lizman's are allowed to tell you to pay the rent to Bannit's, but they can't transfer your deposit to Bannits without your consent (either at the time of transfer (which you didn't give) or in the contract you signed with Lizmans). The deposit can only be used by Lizmans against any obligations you owed to Lizmans. And you stopped owing obligations to Lizmans when they sold your house ( ... )
