Kenneth Branagh's film of Love's Labour's Lost is really, really good. I've said it before, but I've just watched it on DVD, which reminded me. Incredibly sad, but incredibly uplifting at the same time. And I wish I could get hold of the version of 'They Can't Take That Away From Me' that they sing at the end - it's probably one of the most moving ( Read more... )

I liked the three-act structure of The Lazarus Experiment too, particularly the bookending with interventions by Martha's mother in one form or another. Not as impressed by the Lazarus monster as you, though.

The creature itself was adequate (I prefer the Stephen Greenhorn's original idea of glimpsing 'something' in the shadows), but I enjoyed the 'monster' aspect of the story - that is, it worked as a monster story as well as a thought-provoking tale about the dangers of tampering with nature.

Mind you, the effects were still better than Primeval!
