Continuing on with catching up on all the tv I couldn't watch during the season: The Borgias. Which is... kind of perfect? Kind of really perfect? Occasionally painful and awful, but executed perfectly. Not to be ridiculous, but it makes my heart hurt a little sometimes. Like art can. Anyway, I am enjoying it and am super thrilled it will be back

It makes me tsk that The Prince is interpreted as political advice rather than the obvious droll, cynical thing it is.
He's apparently in three episodes of the season. Don't they realize they should be contriving excuses for him to provide commentary on like every scene?

Clearly! Even on swordfighting scenes, there should be Machiavellian commentary. Giulia brushes Lucrezia's hair, Machiavelli should give his opinion.
