Joy joy joy: the state government, which is two blocks from my apartment, is having a short festival of Christmas music leading up to the holiday, orchestras and carolers and general Christmas cheer, outdoors, by the beautiful lights in the trees. That does sound a lot easier. We're talking about the public health system in Brazil, though, so things getting pared down where they can does not surprise me. In any case, this is second-hand information, so I might be wrong!
