AN: I am so sorry this took so long, I hoped that after I managed to get Tuesdays off I'd have time to write fics but uh that didn't work out -_- On the plus side I have December and January off (yay for having no exams as a first year! XD) so I'll definitely have more time then ^_^ I sincerely hope this manages to make up for the long wait.

The one where…Hayato is born
Date: 26th December 2006 - 6th August 2006
Characters involved: Jin (21-22), Kazuya (18-19), Yamapi (19-20)

Two lines. There they were those two little lines that meant his future was completely ruined. Kazuya groaned and fell back onto the bed; as he gazed up at the pregnancy test his whole life flashed before his eyes. He could see scores of screaming babies, mountains of soiled nappies and rivers of baby milk. After years of pining after Jin he had finally managed to snag the older man, and now he had completely ruined it.

The bedroom door opened and Kazuya bolted up, he hid the stick behind his back and smiled uneasily at his younger brother who watched him with one eyebrow raised. Yuya came into the room and threw his bag into the corner before going to the desk and opening up a book. Kazuya breathed a sigh of relief and put the test into the drawer. It was probably just a fluke; it was pretty cheap after all so the test was probably false. He would act all cute and get some money off of his brother before going back to the chemist and buying a couple of proper tests. The door opened again and his mother came in with the house phone.

“It’s Jin-kun, he’s such a nice boy” Kazuya gave his mother a tight smile and took the phone from her.

“Hey” Kazuya grinned widely when he heard Jin’s voice, all of his worries were gone with just one word from Jin. Kazuya scowled at his mother who was watching him with a wide smile, he shooed her away and went out into the hall. He was glad his mother liked Jin so much but whenever he came over or called she acted like a teenage girl in love: it was creepy.

“Hi, whatever my mother said ignore it” Jin laughed on the other line and Kazuya bit his lip and smiled happily. After all these years Kazuya could finally call Jin his boyfriend, he just hoped the other would never find out about all those times Kazuya would follow him home or sabotage his dates or steal things from his locker.

“She just asked me over for dinner” As Jin stopped talking there was a loud scream from inside the bedroom. Kazuya’s eyes widened and his heart started beating furiously. There was no way she could’ve found the test, he put it in the drawer and surely she wouldn’t snoop…okay yes she would he was dead.

“A PREGNANCY TEST!?” Kazuya’s mother burst out into the hall holding the box, Kazuya inwardly cursed: he forgot to hide the box. Kazuya’s throat ran dry and he looked up fearfully towards the woman who was usually so sweet and kind. He had never seen his mother this angry, not even when Yuichiro crashed the car.

“K-Kazu?” Kazuya ignored Jin’s stuttering on the other line to gaze up at the woman who was ready to take away the life she gave him.

“Where the hell is the test Kazuya?” Kazuya’s mother grabbed the phone from Kazuya; the commotion attracted Kouji and both Yuya and Kouji were watching the scene fearfully.

“M-mama I -” Kazuya had backed up against the wall, he wanted to get as far away from that woman as possible but she interrupted him before he could explain.

“Where is it?” Her voice was now deadly calm and Kazuya felt tears gather at the corners of his eyes. He looked down and bit his lip.

“The drawer” His voice barely came out as a whisper but his mother heard it, with the phone still clutched tightly in one hand and the box in the other she shoved past Yuya and made her way into the room. Kazuya stayed rooted to the spot but he could see his mother rummage through his drawer until she took out the stick, when she got a good look at it she let out some sort of wail and sat down heavily on the bed. Kazuya’s heart hammered against his chest as he watched the woman who had given him everything sink her head into her hands. He could feel Kouji and Yuya’s eyes boring into him but he kept his eyes on his mother, he hugged himself to feel some semblance of comfort as the tears rolled down his cheeks.

“Kouji, Yuya go downstairs and do not tell your father about this, understand?” His brothers nodded and made their way downstairs, when he passed Kazuya Kouji laid a hand on the younger brother’s shoulder and gave a comforting squeeze. “Kazuya come in here” His mother’s voice was calm and devoid of emotion, somehow that made Kazuya feel even more nervous. He took a deep breath and stepped into the room. She patted the space next to her and Kazuya reluctantly sat down next to her, the phone had fallen to the floor by her feet and Kazuya saw that Jin was no longer on the other line, she took Kazuya’s hand in her own and took a deep breath.

“How many did you take?” Kazuya looked up at his mother felt a twang of pain when he noticed she was looking at anything but him.

“Just that one, and it’s cheap too but it’s probably wrong and I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about, I mean I only took it because I’m paranoid and -” His mother held up a hand to silence him and Kazuya looked her curiously. “Mama?”

“I’ll make a doctor’s appointment for tomorrow and we’ll know for sure” She patted his hand and stood up. “You better call Jin-kun and clear things up” She looked past him and Kazuya stared up at his mother helplessly as she walked out of the room and closed the door. He hugged himself tightly and couldn’t stop the tears rolling down his cheeks as he sobbed uncontrollably.

He didn’t know how long he sat there sobbing like a child, or when his brothers came in and held him as he cried, the last thing he saw before he cried himself to sleep was that life destroying little stick with the two blue lines lying so carelessly on the bed.

The doctor’s office was eerily quiet; Kazuya sat in awkward silence with his mother as they waited for the doctor to come back with the test results. His mother hadn’t spoken to him since they left the house; needless to say the car journey was incredibly awkward. A nurse came through the open door with a clipboard.

“Kamenashi Kazuya?” Kazuya’s mother stood up and made her way to the door, Kazuya took a deep breath before standing up and making his own way to the door. Once through the nurse guided them into a small room, the doctor was reading a file but looked up as the two entered. He put the file away and smiled at the pair, he gestured to the two seats and Kazuya and his mother sat down.

Kazuya looked around the room; it was small and cluttered with numerous files and folders littering the desk. On the walls there were crudely drawn pictures, most of them were of a little family and Kazuya wondered if his own child would have its drawings littering the walls of his house. There were also a few picture frames on the desk: one of top of the computer of a scruffy looking dog sitting on a very angry looking angry, there was another one by the doctor’s hand of a two little girls each with cute little pigtails and matching yellow dresses, on the windowsill there was a family photograph with the same two little girls but they were a little younger in this one, behind them was the doctor himself and another man both grinning widely at the camera. The photograph the caught Kazuya’s attention however was a photograph of the man in the family photo, it was a photo of his sleeping face, his mouth was open and Kazuya sure he could see a little bit of drool running down the man’s chin. The doctor noticed Kazuya looking at the picture and smiled at the boy.

“So what can I do for you?” Kazuya’s mother tightened her grip on her handbag before she ruffled through the bag and pulled out the pregnancy test. Her lips were skewed into a thin line and she refused to look at her son who was staring down at his lap. The doctor hummed and took the test, he studied it and frowned.

“I’d like my son to have a test, to make sure” The doctor nodded in agreement with the woman.

“This does look rather cheap, don’t worry the test is similar to this one so it won’t be painful or uncomfortable” The doctor rummaged through his drawer and pulled out a small clear tub. He handed to tub to Kazuya who took it and looked at it doubtfully.

“You will need to urinate into this tub, then we do some tests and we will have an answer. The tests don’t take much longer than ten minutes so you won’t have to wait long, the bathroom is just down the hall to your right” Both the doctor and Kazuya’s mother looked at the boy expectantly; he looked back a little confused. Kazuya’s mother sighed.

“Go pee in the tub then come back” Kazuya blushed slightly but rose out of his seat and left the room. He walked down the hallway towards the bathroom, bowing his head to a nurse as he passed her, he almost walked past the bathroom; not noticing the small insignificant looking door. Opening the door he noticed it was tiny, the room was about the size of his wardrobe at home and he didn’t really understand how the toilet and the sink could be crammed in there.

It took a small while before Kazuya felt comfortable enough to relieve himself, it was a little awkward but Kazuya supposed he may have to get used to even more uncomfortable situations. When he exited the bathroom he awkwardly nodded to a passing doctor and made his way back to the doctor’s office. Upon entering he noticed a heavy and incredibly tense silence enveloping the room. Kazuya looked from his mother to the doctor, both sitting perfectly straight with their lips pressed together. He sat back down on the chair and handed the tub to the doctor; his mother still avoided looking at him and just stared straight ahead.

“Thank you, I’ll just put this little strip into it and in a few minutes we’ll have your results, whilst we wait feel free to ask me any questions you have” The doctor gave Kame a kind smile; a smile, he assumed, was meant to ease his worrying when in fact it only served to increase his nerves. Kazuya simply nodded and looked down at his hands, missing the frown the doctor gave him.

“I have one” Both Kazuya and the doctor looked at his mother, she avoided Kazuya’s gaze and looked straight at the doctor. “How much will it cost to get rid of it?” Upon hearing this Kazuya’s eyes widened, he bolted upright and turned towards his mother.

“I’m not getting rid of it” For the first time since she found the pregnancy test his mother really looked at him, her face was twisted into something he had never seen before. Even though he was terrified he was adamant that he would not give up his baby, it would be hard and he knew that but he also knew that he could never live with himself if he killed his baby.

“I’m afraid you have no choice in the matter, I’m your mother and until you turn twenty all of your decisions will be made by me” Kazuya couldn’t believe what he hearing, how could the woman who had showered him with so much love over the years turn so cruel so easily?

“I’m not letting you harm my baby, I know it’ll be hard but I can do this and -” His mother cut him off with a snort.

“Really? You really think you can take care of a child? How will you provide for it with no job and just a high school diploma? You think that boy will look after you? As soon as he learns you’re pregnant he’ll dump you and you’ll be left with an unwanted baby and a very poor future. I’m not letting you do that to yourself Kazuya” As his mother spoke Kazuya felt rage bubble up inside him, he clenched his fists and tried to fight the tears that had sprung to his eyes. All the time the doctor was watching him with a skewed mouth.

“Kamenashi-san if I may, forcing your son to have an abortion will be very damaging to his mental health not to mention your relationship with him and these days the government will help take care of both him and the baby” Kazuya’s mother set her eyes on the doctor with a harsh stare, the man didn’t budge however and stared right back, there was an awkward silence until the doctor took the strip out of the container and hummed.

“Congratulations Kamenashi-kun the test was positive” Kazuya closed his eyes and he heard his mother let out a shuddering breath. The doctor took a bundle of booklets on his desk and handed them to Kazuya who took them and bowed his head politely. “Before making any decisions I suggest you read these and talk to the people listed in the contact information” Kazuya nodded and bit his lip, it was one thing talking about keeping a baby when he didn’t really think there was one but now it was a totally different story and he was terrified.

They left the doctor’s office and Kazuya struggled to keep up with his mother’s quickening pace towards the car, when they got to the car Kazuya was sure his mother was going to leave without him. But she waited until he managed to get inside, he put his seatbelt on and waited for his mother to start the car but the woman just stared out of the windscreen.

“Mama?” Kazuya clenched his fist, the booklets creasing as he did. Upon hearing Kazuya talk the woman closed her eyes then turned towards him. She looked so broken and sad and Kazuya felt the tears well up in his eyes at the sight.

“Listen Kazuya, I know you want to keep the baby but you have no idea how difficult it is to raise a child, instead of going out with your friends or having fun like other people your age you’ll be changing diapers and getting up at three o’clock in the morning to feed a screaming baby” Kazuya looked down at his lap, he knew this and he knew it would be difficult.

“But you had Yuichiro when you were just a couple of years older than me” Kazuya’s mother squeezed her eyes shut then opened them; there were unspilled tears in her eyes too.

“And that’s why I know just how difficult it is, I don’t want you to go through the same hardships I went through” Kazuya looked at his mother, tears were running down both their faces and Kazuya sniffed loudly.

“I know it won’t be easy and I’m scared but I can’t harm my baby” Kazuya trailed off and looked down at his stomach, he lightly caressed it as if he was in a trance “My baby” It was quiet but Kazuya’s mother heard it, she let out a sigh and pursed her lips. She was far from happy but she knew that she couldn’t convince Kazuya to give up the baby, and forcing him to do so would make him hate her.

They spent the next hour or so talking about it, although she knew there was no hope Kazuya’s mother was hoping to convince her son to at least give the baby up for adoption. Not that he agreed; he definitely took after her.

The rest of that night had been a whirlwind and Kazuya barely remembered it. His entire family were in the living room when he and his mother got home, obviously waiting for him. Although Kouji and Yuya knew what was going on Yuichiro and his father were completely in the dark. His father took it pretty well; he just closed his eyes and gave a long suffering sigh before pulling Kazuya into his lap and kissing the top of his head; something he hadn’t done in a long time. Yuichiro on the other hand was angry, Kazuya was closest with Yuichiro and the oldest was incredibly protective of him. He just sat silently, clenching his fist and pursing his lips. Kazuya just hoped he would calm down before he saw Jin again.

Jin. Kazuya had spent all night thinking about how to tell the older boy. He had spent so long pining after Jin and finally he had him in his grasp. Perhaps now that he was pregnant Jin would stay with him and they’d be together forever. But Kazuya would get fat. What if Jin thought he was unattractive? What if Jin would stay with him just for the baby and they were doomed to an unhappy life spent hating each other? Thinking about all this made Kazuya dizzy.

He knew he would have to tell Jin, he just desperately wanted to be able to control the other boy’s reaction. If Kazuya could make sure Jin would be all happy and totally okay with everything he’d gladly tell the other but he couldn’t control Jin. Jin was amazing but Kazuya had no idea how he’d react to all of this. He hadn’t even talked to him since last night, what if Jin heard his mother? What if he knew about the pregnancy and would avoid his call? Oh Kazuya did not feel good.

Unfortunately Kazuya did have to tell Jin, which was why he was sitting on a cold park bench waiting for him. Truthfully he probably wouldn’t have contacted Jin at all if it wasn’t for his mother, Kazuya had to admit even though she wasn’t happy about the situation she was making sure Kazuya was eating alright and following the doctor’s orders. She was the one to phone Jin and set up the meeting, it made Kazuya angry but if she hadn’t done it he wouldn’t have told Jin at all.

Kazuya sighed and stroked the small piece of paper in his hand; he smiled slightly at the dark mess of shapes. After everything had been smoothed out his mother called the doctor to set up an appointment for a scan, the baby had hardly even taken shape but still Kazuya couldn’t stop staring at the picture. He hoped that if Jin saw the scan picture then perhaps he would be more easily persuaded to stay. A crunch in front of him made Kazuya look up and his heart leapt when he saw Jin standing in front of him. He was staring at his feet with his hair shielding his eyes but Kazuya could see the older man was biting his lip.

“Hey” It was barely above a whisper but Jin heard it as he looked up slightly. Kazuya gasped when he saw the older man’s face more clearly. His eyes were red and he had huge bags under his eyes, his lips had been bitten to shreds and there were fingernail marks on his forehead.

“H-hey” Jin’s voice was hoarse, as if he had been screaming for hours on end. Kazuya seriously hoped this wasn’t because of the baby. He sat down next to Kazuya but still refused to look at him, instead he was staring at his clasped hands. Kazuya took a deep breath before starting.

“I uh, we really need to talk, I -”

“I know” Kazuya looked at Jin; the older man ruffled his hair harshly and dragged his nail down his face. Kazuya could see more fingernail marks on his cheek and neck.

“What do you mean?” It came out as more of a squeak than an actual human sound but Jin ignored it.

“I-I know about, well I know about the baby, I heard your mum” A lump formed in Kazuya’s throat. So he had heard, and now he was torturing himself because of it. Jin wouldn’t want to keep the baby and if Kazuya kept the baby they’d have to break up and Kazuya would have to raise the baby alone and he’d grow old alone because no one wants someone with baggage. Thinking about all of this made Kazuya feel sick.

“Oh” Kazuya bit his lip and looked at the picture of their baby; he glanced up at Jin before looking back to the picture. He sighed and passed it over to Jin who looked it at curiously before realising what it was. His eyes widened and he took the picture as if in a dream. Kazuya watched as Jin stroked the picture gently.

“I can’t do this Kazu” Kazuya bit his lip and tried his hardest to keep the tears back, of course Jin wouldn’t want this. “I can barely take care of myself, how the hell am I supposed to take care of a baby? I-I can’t” Kazuya saw a tear drop onto the picture and he looked at the man, Kazuya had never seen Jin look so defeated before.

“Jin” Kazuya’s voice began to break and the tears started running down his face. His heart was pounding furiously against his chest. Jin looked at Kazuya and upon seeing the tears he pulled the younger one against his chest and Kazuya buried his face into the older man’s neck, although he tried to he couldn’t supress the sobs.

“But I can’t leave you either” Kazuya froze when he heard this, and then lifted his head to look at Jin. His boyfriend wasn’t looking at him but rather at the scan picture, a soft smile graced his face. Kazuya wanted to ask what was going on, or smile, or laugh, or well something. Jin looked at Kazuya and gave him a nervous smile.

“I can’t promise you much, I’m no good at, well, anything, but I’m not going to leave you or the baby” The tears began to flow again and Kazuya threw himself at Jin and sobbed heavily, he had never been so relieved in all his life. It was as if someone had saved him from being crushed to death in some ancient execution method. It didn’t take too long for Kazuya to calm down and before long they were cuddling on the park bench.

“A baby huh” Jin let out a shuddering breath and Kazuya nodded, they clasped their hands together however as they both gazed at the little blob that was their baby.

2nd January - Week 12

Kazuya held onto the toilet bowl tightly as his lunch passed through his oesophagus and down into the beckoning toilet. Jin kneeled beside him and gingerly patted Kazuya’s back and kept his hair out of the way, he was trying his hardest not to gag but the smell of sick was really getting to him. Jin’s mother was hovering unsurely by the doorway. Eventually the puking subsided and Kazuya lifted his head out of the toilet bowl, Jin gave Kazuya a small towel which he used to wipe around his mouth.

“Maybe you shouldn’t take the bus over anymore” Kazuya gave a strained smile and nodded slightly; Jin’s mother came over to them and patted the youngest boy on the head.

“I’ll get you a mint, the taste of puke is not a nice one” Kazuya leaned into Jin’s arms and buried his face into the crook of his neck. Jin tried his hardest not to breathe in as Kazuya smelled strongly of sick.

“He finished puking?” Reio came into the bathroom; he was holding a piece of toast and chewing loudly. As the smell drifted towards him Kazuya’s stomach churned once more.

“Oh god” He pushed Jin out of the way and continued throwing up. Jin’s mother sent her youngest son a harsh glare which sent him scampering away; she sighed and motioned for Jin to pull Kazuya’s hair from his face.

“I’ll make some tea then” Jin’s mother patted Kazuya on the head one last time before exiting the bathroom. Jin rubbed Kazuya’s back, against his will he took a deep breath which brought in a huge whiff of puke. He could taste it. Jin gagged and closed his eyes as he waited for all of this to be over.

30th January - Week 15

Kazuya pursed his lips as he examined his stomach, he should have a bump by now but he was still as flat as a board. He poked his stomach a little and sighed.

“Can you see anything?” Yuya sighed before looking up from his homework and gave Kazuya a scrutinising stare before shrugging and going back to his work.

“Nothing there” Kazuya pouted and walked away from the mirror and threw himself on his bed. He grabbed his phone and began texting Jin who was in work now. Jin managed to get a starter position at some advertising firm and although it didn’t pay much now Jin’s future was pretty much set. Plus he looked so hot in a suit. Kazuya sighed as he waited for the other to respond, perhaps if it was a little saucy it would encourage Jin to reply faster. Kazuya grinned as he typed out his message to Jin. As expected it didn’t take long for Jin to text back, and Kazuya grinned widely when he saw the reply. His night was certainly sorted.

5th March - 20 Weeks

Kazuya and Jin’s mother were the only ones in the house, whist Kazuya was reading a pregnancy book the woman was knitting little booties. As Kazuya’s pregnancy had gone on he had been spending more and more time at Jin’s house, in fact he was spending more time here than at his own house much to the dismay of his own parents. The front door opened which caught the attention of the two occupants and both smiled as Jin toed off his shoes and placed his briefcase on a hook.

“Tadaima” Both his mother and Kazuya responded with an okaeri and Jin ruffled his hair before flopping down onto the space next to Kazuya. The younger boy put the book down and snuggled closer to Jin who loosened his tie and put an arm around his boyfriend’s waist.

“Tough day?” Jin sighed and nodded.

“I hate working at that place, I swear it’s sucking every bit of happiness out of me one morsel at a time” Kazuya reached up and pecked Jin’s lips softly.

“I know it’s hard but we need the money if we want to get our own place, and it provides enough security for the future” Kazuya smiled and caressed his stomach as he said this. Jin noticed this and kissed the top Kazuya’s head whilst running his own hand over the stretched tummy.

2nd April - 24 Weeks

The man in the mirror was fat and hideous with ugly red stretch marks and truly tacky clothes; the worst thing about being pregnant was the unfashionably disgusting clothes he had to wear. Before getting pregnant Kazuya had never touched tracksuit bottoms in his life and now they were the only things that fit him. He couldn’t even wear nice tops, no; he had to wear his father’s shirts. Kazuya popped another salted cracker into his mouth before sighing at his reflection. For the past few days he had some severe cravings for salt, everyone refused to let him eat salt alone of course so he was stuck eating salty snacks like these crackers. What he’d really prefer was some edamame but he had finished the last of it this morning and his mother was away to the shop to get some more.

“Stop moaning about your appearance Kazuya” Jin didn’t even need to look up from his book to know what Kazuya was doing. Kazuya pouted at Jin and threw a salted cracker at him; Jin raised an eyebrow at the little cracker which had fallen pretty far from its target and was lying at the foot of the bed. Kazuya glared at the little thing and made his way to Jin, picking up and popping the cracker into his mouth when he passed it. Jin propped himself up against the wall and patted the space between his legs, Kazuya climbed on the bed and settled himself against Jin’s back. He pulled a cracker out of the box and offered it to Jin who took it gratefully with his mouth.

“Want me to rub some cocoa butter onto your stomach?” Kazuya hummed and nodded his head, Jin reached over and grabbed bottle of cocoa butter that was sitting on the nightstand. Kazuya pulled his top up over his stomach and sighed happily as the cold liquid dripped onto his sore and itchy stomach, Jin massaged the butter onto the skin gently.

“Chest and thighs too?”

“Please” Jin kissed Kazuya’s cheek and manoeuvred both himself and Kazuya so that Kazuya was propped up with pillows with Jin in between his legs.

Jin took the box of salted crackers, ignoring the look of hatred sent his way, and put them on the bed before helping Kazuya slip off the shirt. Kazuya grabbed the crackers and continued eating happily as Jin rubbed the butter onto Kazuya’s incredibly sensitive and painful chest. Even as a man the little breast tissue he had had grown and become swollen whilst fat had stored up. It made him look as if he was a rather flat chested girl and his mother was trying her hardest to convince him to wear a bra (he didn’t care if it would make him feel more comfortable - he was not a girl and he would not wear a bra). Jin leaned down and kissed Kazuya softly once finished, he ran his hands down Kazuya’s stomach softly and smiled when a little gasp escaped Kazuya’s lips.

They parted and Jin continued his job, he slid Kazuya’s tracksuit trousers down his legs and threw them onto the floor. He squirted more butter onto his hands and warmed it up before sliding his hands gently along Kazuya’s thighs. The younger boy let out a strangled whimper as he felt this and Jin stopped to grin up at his lover. The salted crackers were abandoned and had fallen off of the bed and were now littering the floor. Jin leaned down and kissed along Kazuya’s thighs, his boyfriend’s whimpers were steadily getting higher and louder. He pulled himself up and looked at the panting and flushed boy. Jin reached up and roughly captured Kazuya’s lips with his own; Kazuya entwined his hands around Jin’s neck and pulled him closer. Jin ground down onto Kazuya, careful not to press down on his stomach and delighted in the little moans he was coaxing out of his lover. They were so engrossed in each other that they didn’t hear the door opening until it was too late.

“Oh come on! Can’t you lock the door? For crying out loud this is disgusting!” The two broke apart and watched as Yuya stormed out of the room. The mood now gone, Jin sighed and lifted himself off of Kazuya; he smiled down at the younger who was blushing profusely. Jin found the cocoa butter and put some more onto his hands, finishing his job and soothing the itchy stretch marks.

“Jin”

“Hm?”

“The crackers fell”

“Oh?”

“Yeah”

A silence fell over the couple as Jin continued to massage Kazuya’s thighs.

“Seriously go get me more crackers” Jin sighed.

“Yes dear”

30th April - 28 Weeks

“YOU DID WHAT!? I’LL KILL YOU YOU BASTARD!” Jin ducked as a book with a happy baby on the front cover flew towards him, Kazuya was absolutely furious and Jin had never seen him like this. It wasn’t only Kazuya who was angry, his own parents were pretty mad too and that was probably why they weren’t helping fend him off the raving lunatic. Jin’s mother, concerned for the baby, did however hold Kazuya back and hug as the boy sobbed furiously into her chest.

“Kazu I’m sorry I just -” Jin was interrupted as Kazuya rounded angrily on him.

“You just what Jin? We have a baby on the way and you quit your job? What is wrong with you? How could you do this? What the hell are we going to do? Mama” Jin’s mother shushed Kazuya and rocked him back and forth when Kazuya broke off and erupted into fresh tears. Jin’s father sighed and ran a hand through his thinning hair. Jin had never felt so guilty in all his life. He wanted to explain why he did it, how he hated being away from Kazuya for so long and how he didn’t want to be one of those fathers who could spend hardly any time with his own children. None of that came out however and he just looked at his family with wide, guilty eyes.

“Kazuya, I’m sure Jin has a reason for quitting and you still have the support of not only us but your own parents” Kazuya removed his face from Jin’s mother’s chest and looked at the father curiously before turning his attention to Jin. Jin ran a hand through his hair and gave a small sigh.

“If I keep working there I’ll end up like those over stressed salary men who never see their family and die from some horrible stress related disease before they turn fifty” He sent an apologetic look towards his father who was one of those men. “Sorry dad” Jin’s father closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose.

“I’ll talk to Jin okay, Minami take Kazuya to wash up and calm down” Jin’s mother bit her lip as she stared between the two men. Nevertheless she sighed but took Kazuya out of the room to leave the father and son to talk.

“Sit down Jin” Jin’s father sat down on the couch and patted the space beside him; Jin bit his lip before sitting down next to his father.

“I understand why you did this Jin, but quitting your job without any secure back up was an incredibly stupid move” Jin made to interrupt but his father raised a hand and continued. “I know you hate your job, do you think I like mine? But your family comes first and having the money to feed them and keep them warm and happy is worth every illness in the world Jin” Jin had always been reckless and his father knew this, but since Kazuya had gotten pregnant Jin had actually matured and everyone was sure he’d stop doing things like this.

“I didn’t leave without a backup” Jin’s father looked at his son in surprise. “I didn’t want to tell anyone until I knew for sure but Yamapi works in this little ramen store as a waiter and he managed to convince the owner to take me on as an apprentice, I know it won’t pay much but I’ve always wanted to own my own restaurant and this way I’ll be able to help Kazuya out more often and spend plenty of time with the baby”

“Jin” Jin’s father was pretty much speechless; he had never heard his son talk in such a way.

“I opened up a savings account when I started working at the firm and I’ve managed to save up quite a bit, but I just couldn’t take it anymore dad” His father looked at his son with pride and clapped his shoulder. Jin looked up at his father curiously and squeaked in surprise when his father pulled him into a hug. He had never been prouder; his son had worked up the courage to follow his dreams. Something he had never been able to do.

28th May - 32 Weeks

Jin sighed as everyone stared at him as he walked past; he scowled and lowered his head. He should’ve let his mother put make up on it. When he got to the café he took a deep breath and opened the door, the bell rang to signal his arrival and Jin flinched when he noticed all attention on him. His boss turned around at the sound and his eyes widened upon the sight of Jin, or more specifically Jin’s face. Jin inwardly groaned; he could not be bothered with this, he was tired and sore and did not need his co-workers making his already horrible life worse.

“What the hell happened to you?” When Jin got to the counter his boss took a hold of his chin and lifted it to take a better look at the darkening bruise on his cheek. “I hope you gave as good as you got”

“Don’t tell me you got into a fight! Geez Bakanishi you can’t be left alone can you?” Yamapi left his customer to take a good look at the bruise.

“I wasn’t fighting” Although it was a mumble the two still heard it and raised an eyebrow at the other man. Yamapi poked to bruise which caused Jin to jerk away and hiss in pain, he glared at the laughing man.

“Don’t tell me Kame-chan beat you up” Yamapi continued laughing but stopped when he noticed Jin’s lack of answer. He guffawed and doubled over in laughter, tears came to his eyes and he couldn’t breathe but still Yamapi continued laughing.

“Kamenashi-kun would never do such a thing, he’s such a sweet boy” Jin’s boss looked at the two doubtfully. This was true, Kazuya was a sweetheart especially to Yamada-san but Kazuya was also pregnant and hormonal. Extreme anger plus baseball practise meant Jin had no chance.

“What the hell did you do?” Yamapi had finally sobered up and questioned the grumbling man.

“I refused to give him his stupid cookies and he threw the remote at me, why the hell does he have such a good pitch?” Yamada-san chuckled at his pouting employee whilst Yamapi started laughing again.

“Never deny a pregnant person their cravings Jin-kun” His boss patted Jin’s head before heading back into the kitchen but Yamapi draped himself over Jin who shrugged him off.

“I’m pretty impressed, Kame-chan hasn’t lost his touch” Jin pushed Yamapi’s face away and grumbled about baseball freaks and hormones. He should’ve knocked up someone with less harmful hobbies.

23rd July - 40 Weeks

Kazuya glared at everything that moved. But most of this hatred was fixed on Jin who was trying his hardest not to piss off his very irritable boyfriend. Kazuya had passed his due date and there was still no sign of him going into labour. Jin had managed to get the next few weeks off work and spent every moment with Kazuya, making sure the younger boy was as comfortable as possible. The doctor said that if there was still no sign of him going into labour within the next couple of weeks then they’d have to induce labour but they’d rather let it happen naturally. They had tried everything to induce labour. Spicy food, yoga, herbal tea and of course sex.

Even though his bump was huge Kazuya’s hormones were crazy and he was horny all of the time. In normal circumstances Jin would be ecstatic but the look of utter contempt did not leave Kazuya’s face when having sex and it was incredibly unnerving to Jin.

6th August- Finally the lazy little bugger is born

Kazuya squeezed Jin’s hand as another contraction hit him, Jin hissed in pain: Kazuya was breaking his hand! Kazuya’s mother was coaxing Kazuya to push through the pain but the boy was panicking and crying. Jin tried his hardest to calm Kazuya down; kissing his head and stroking his stomach but to no avail.

“The baby is almost here Kamenashi-san, just a little more” Jin wondered if the baby’s head was popping out, he had always wanted to know if it was like the movies. He reached over to look at the danger zone and instantly regretted it: it was like a scene of some sick horror movie. He tore his hand away from Kazuya and puked into the nearest container. The doctor started yelling and the nurse escorted Jin out of the delivery room, soothing the man and holding a bowl to Jin’s mouth for the man to puke in. Kazuya was screaming that he was a coward and that he was useless as Jin exited the room but Jin hardly noticed as his head felt heavy and darkness enveloped him.

When Jin came to he was laying across the hospital waiting room seats, his mother was patting his face with a cold damp towel. He was a little groggy but he was sure the woman was giving him the exact same look Kazuya had adopted over the past few weeks. She helped him sit up however and steadied him.

“What happened?” Jin’s mother pursed her lips and put the towel on the seat next to them.

“You threw up in the tray the holds the doctor’s instruments and then fainted as the nurse escorted you outside” Jin winced as he the memory came flooding back, and then he shuddered when he thought about Kazuya’s reaction.

“How mad is he?” Jin’s mother smiled slightly and stood up; she patted Jin’s head then beckoned towards the door. Jin bit his lip but followed his mother as she opened the door to reveal a tired but happy looking Kazuya talking to his father who was holding a small baby wrapped in a blue blanket. All attention turned towards them, Reio instantly adopted a sly grin and Jin just knew he was going to be made fun of.

“Shut up Reio” Jin glowered at his brother but the younger boy just laughed. Jin’s mother smiled at her sons.

“Come on you two, we’ll go to the cafeteria and leave these two alone” Jin’s father handed the baby to Kazuya then kissed the boy on the top of the head. With the three Akanishi’s out of the room Jin felt even more awkward. He sat down on the bed beside Kazuya however and smiled lovingly at his son.

“Where’s your mother?” Kazuya raised an eyebrow at the obvious attempt to keep conversation away from Jin’s little incident.

“She went back home to get some sleep, my family will be coming to visit later on” Jin hummed in response. Silence prevailed for a minute or so at the new parents just gazed at their son. Kazuya couldn’t contain himself for much longer however.

“Feeling better then? I’d hate for you to be uncomfortable Jin” Jin glared at the sly smile that graced his boyfriend’s face as the younger man mocked him.

“Shut up” It was barely above a mumble but Kazuya still heard him and chuckled quietly. Kazuya shifted a little to give Jin more space; Jin moved closer and put an arm around Kazuya, he played with his hair and gazed down at the little baby.

“So this is him huh?” Kazuya nodded happily.

“Akanishi Hayato” Jin grinned widely, although they had been preparing for this moment for almost a year nothing could prepare him for this. He smiled down at the little baby who was almost his exact image then turned to Kazuya to capture his lips in a gentle and loving kiss. Little Hayato yawned quietly, not knowing that when he grew up he’d be about as graceful as a bull in a china shop, nor that he’d have twin little brothers who’d make his life hell. For now little Hayato scrunched up his innocent little face and wailed, letting everyone know about his more than healthy lungs.
