The reason is hanging around his neck.]Since my Pokémon can fly, I shouldn't have a problem traveling to places I've already been. So I'm going to ( Read more... )

Jasmine? She's a Steel type user.

Steel, huh? That's a type I know really well. That tells me a lot right there.

How does she fight?

Pretty strongly. Her Skarmory's quick, but her Steelix's pretty hardy from my battle with her.

...This is tempting me to use my own Skarmory and Steelix to see how they match up.

[Care to guess which type Shirou knows best?]

I will. Don't worry, it'll only be a few days. I bet I can make it back by New Year's Day.

...Well, do you want to celebrate the coming of the new year? If you do, you should buy a kimono.

I haven't fought her yet, but I heard Jasmine uses Steel-Types a lot. I remember a friend of mine says she has a Steelix and maybe two Magnemites.

Magnemite? I heard that she used a Skarmory and a Steelix, but that's it. Does she have four Pokémon?

Fighting, too. Steel is the Pokémon type I know the best.

If I remember correctly, Miss Jasmine of Olivine uses a team of steel-type Pokemon. Using fire-type Pokemon against her is strongly recommended.

Fighting and Ground, too. I use a lot of Steel-types myself, so I know their strengths and weaknesses.

Yeah.

[A Dragonair slowly starts to wrap around him as it stares at the guy.]

[That surprises Shirou. He's raised a Dragonite from an egg, so he knows how much work raising one, even just up to a Dragonair. Either he's been around longer than he's been letting on, or that was from somebody else.]

...Well. There are eight gyms, one per city, in Johto. Each is run by a strong trainer known as a gym leader. If you beat a gym leader in a battle, you earn a badge to prove that you beat them. If you get all eight badges, you've earned the right to challenge the Elite Four.
