Good question. By the looks of this map, Goldenrod's one of the bigger cities around here. I'd think it might safe to say it could be something like Fuyuki City.

Or I could be way off and it's a city full of basically nothing entertaining.

Yeah, I saw the map, too. It looks like the biggest city in the entire region.

I know there's a department store, but I don't know about anything else there.

Guess we'll just find out the hard way.

Or more people who have been to Goldenrod City respond to my question.

It's very big! But I've been enjoying myself.

...Wait. Oh, did I miss one? There's a gym in Azalea Town?

...Yeah, there is. How did you skip it? I heard there was a weird tree blocking the path from Violet City to Goldenrod City.

I...really I'm not sure how I got here, but now I guess I'll have to go back.

You...don't know how you got there?

Hell of a lot better than that patch of nowhere called Azalea, that's for sure.

You like bigger cities?

Born and bred, my man.

[... That was a lie. Heather was born and bred in a little nowhere town in the boonies. But WHATEVER NOBODY NEEDED TO KNOW THAT.]

Goldenrod's actually got stuff to do.

I know there's a department store and another gym. What else do they have?

It looks big on the map. What kinds of things are there to do?

Well, there's this big store, yeah? And you can buy like anything there! But also there's a bike shop, and a flower shop, and a big park! The Pokemon really like the park!

Someone else mentioned the bike shop, but she didn't know where it is. Did you find it?

And a park... Wait, is that the National Park? It looks like it'd take about a day or so to get out there...

You have TWO badges? No way! What are the gyms like? What Pokemon do we fight?

[ As is usual when Shooter's excited, he's getting louder by the word. ]

Me and Purple have to move fast to catch up!

Uh, well. The first gym leader uses birds, and the second uses bugs.

Oh... whoa, that sounds easy! I bet Purple can beat birds and bugs! He's a Normal-type, and those are good, right? What kind do you have? Purple's a Rattata.

Uh...just a Normal-type won't get you very far. You want to raise a bunch of different types. I've got some Steel, Rock, Flying, Ghost, Water...and a bunch of them have two types.
