Well, maybe rain is coming. We have a 40% chance tomorrow and 50% the next day. I hope it holds up things at the right time. I wish I could give you some uplifting something or other but I suspect Jefferson and Franklin will be rolling in their graves since the government they founded has decided to be a bane to the people of the country instead of a benefit.
A lot of the problem around here is the razor thin budgets that the little road districts are forced to operate under. It makes the always grasp at the rock bottom cheapest way of dealing with any problem even if it ends up being only a very short term one, and causes other problems in the process.
That's the way it's been just about everywhere I've lived. It's quite strange being in a place where the local government actually tries to do things right.
Ooof, what a crappy couple of weeks. I'm glad Andre is improving at least; poor guy. Good luck with the tooth.
One of the things I won't miss about owning property is dealing with being at the mercy of neighbors (especially new move-ins and renters), local politics, and the HOA. I'll hope for a wet fall for y'all.
90% chance of rain on Thursday. Still no word from the road commission.
You're right, it seems like it's always something, fence lines here and the 200 acres, neighbor problems, the powerline easements, now the road commission. Sometimes the gypsy life really does appeal.
