Look you really didn't over react at all. All things considered you barely reacted. The only people who think you did are Skeeter's best friend who was trying to get everyone who disagreed with Skeeter to shut up (and is also frankly a loathsome person even if I do feel bad saying that about someone that much younger than me) and Remus, who let us say has his own issues with confrontation. You certainly have nothing to apologise for. Honestly I still think you ought to try and have something done about this because this sort of behaviour isn't acceptable and she will just do it to someone else, but that is up to you.
