Update on the sage of the laundry room door

Sylvantechie, my mom, my dad and I successfully vanquished the door and door frame of our laundry room, yielding enough room to fit the washing machine. Getting the washing machine to actually fit in the room may be another challenge, involving removing a baseboard or trimming the dryer's exhaust vent. Don't ask ( Read more... )

Either they were stupid (likely) or just didn't care about the future (equally likely). Dumb previous owners.

Or very smart, very sneaky previous owners. They got to sell a 1.5 bathroom house (instead of 1 bathroom), throw in a washer-dryer set, and leave before they had to deal with replacing them. Sounds downright clever to me :)

Of course, I can see how it'd all be incredibly annoying for the new owners (ie you and Sylvantechie).

When I first read the title, I thought of bunches of grey-green leaves hanging up to dry in your laundry room... and then of a wisened lar or penate dedicated to overseeing household appliances, which might be more to the point :-)
