So apparently because I used stock to pay for school last year (the semester I brilliantly failed), my tax situation changed. If I had paid from my bank account, I would be getting $300 more than I am now. My refund is less this year than it was last year, despite having worked a good three times as much. I swear, this is driving me fucking insane.
