Jesus, I think I was supposed to be a beach bum, but somewhere things went wrong. When you think about it, I'm really way more suited to being a surfer. Like Spicoli. My greatest moment will come when I stop a robber by throwing hot coffee on him.

I accomplished one of three goals today! I bought guitar strings on the way home. I did not, however, buy birthday cards (although I looked in Lambda Rising) or get a coworker to buy a bottle of hooch for me. There's always thursday...

I got chemicals all over my jeans today. Three more weeks, three more weeks...

I started taking pictures again for the first time in many years. I will soon be famous for my art. Like Mapplethorpe before me...

More conflict between me and my boss. It looks like I'll be quitting (or giving two weeks notice) when I go back on tuesday. Wheee!

It was my mom's birthday today. I bought her a cd of baroque sonatas, which made her very happy.

I heard about a certain rap record from the 80s and decided it would be perfect for my dad's political blog. And I realize most people haven't met my dad, Richard Eskow, but I'm proud of my photoshop skills and most people seem to think it's pretty good anyway:

I have resolved to live my life more like Trent from Daria. To start, I will get some tattoos. Then I will start smoking and drinking alot. I think I can do this. I am going to be such a fucking badass.

I have been getting the same Duran Duran song stuck in my head every day since I bought the fucking cd. I mean, I love the song, but enough is enough.

I stopped by the co-op this afternoon. It was good to see everyone. Gillian said I looked metro.

Goodness me, my entire house smells like pot. Honestly, now I know what it's like for a parent to come home to find the children all stoned in the basement watching Star Trek.

I can never keep these Lent-ish holidays straight, but happy fat tuesday, I think. And a solemn, respectful ash wednesday, if that's tomorrow.
