It seems clear to me...but who knows. You're always running from things (and that's not necessarily bad, just what you do). You run from friendship, from people who love you, you run back to yourself because you're the only one that you trust. You climbed the mountain to find your old friends...that's your past that you're trying to get back to, climbing to get there, because your very nostalgic about it. Everthing was perfect back then. Well, for a lot of people, when they were children everything seemed perfect. There's nothing wrong with only remembering the good either. Even the things that seem bad (like the little boy who was dead (maybe) were able to be easily fixed back then). The other part of your dream, where you're running towards Kristina and Steph is you running back to the familiar, and when you can't have it, you being scared. I think it's your subconsious afraid that you are going to lose what you know in college. Also, you try to help everyone, and that's why you felt so terrible when you couldn't save both
