Doctor Who House, continued

Jul 28, 2009 13:40

I've been in England and Wales for about two months, only getting back about two days ago. Of course, the first thing I did when I came home was not unpack my suitcase but open my new figures. I'm happy to share with you the latest chapter of the plastic soap opera that is my dollhouse.

Your posts are a riot and I truly enjoy them. I have to say, all I know about Dr. Who, I'm learning from you. But these story and scenes you create are too funny! Love your imagination and bizarre sense of humor! Thanks so much for sharing.

Haha, aside from everyone being named David, don't rely on me for any realistic reflection of TW or DW canon.

Thank you for your kind comment. I'm glad this makes people happy.

LOL :D! Funniest installment ever :)! Favorite things:
-The captions under the Captain John figure (I don't collect them, personally, but I didn't know there was one of those either), especially this one- "Never one to pass up drinks on another's tab, the only one enjoying dessert at the moment is Captain John Hart." Oh so true ;D.

-This caption under the "David" picture: "Meanwhile, David's grand master plan is to use toothbrushes to jury-rig some manner of clever escape contraption. Or brush his teeth - good oral hygene is very important and shouldn't be neglected even in situations of crisis." Too funny :D!

-The Master going through "Doctor Bride's" drawers. I wonder what he's looking for...

-Ah yes, River Song: A very ingenious woman :). I really liked her character in "Silence In The Library"/"Forest of The Dead".

-The Myfanwy bit, excellent 8)!
-Jack getting outsmarted by the Weevil, :D. I'd love to have seen that happen in the series, honestly :P ( ... )

After Day Four I was really upset, so I never watched the final episode. Now that I know what happened, I'm glad I didn't. It was just too much at once, you're right.

But, no matter! This is a CoE-less zone, where no-one dies and Ianto and Jack are at liberty to enjoy themselves as they please, beans free.

I was spoiled about the events of "Day Four" before it aired in the U.S., so I was prepared for what was going to happen. Knowing about Ianto's fate ahead of time still didn't affect how much of an emotional blow it was (I cried through the whole scene, from when Ianto told Jack "It's too late." to when Jack kissed him goodbye), but it made it slightly easier to sit through "Day Five" (though certain events of that hit me with an emotional wallop too, especially what happened to Frobisher and his family :(). After the immediate grief over losing Ianto, I was just pissed :P, and started on a rewrite of episodes four and five right away.

Yes ma'am, and thank god for that 8). I don't know about you, but I'm going to stay in TW fanfic-verse from now on (read, not going to watch the show ever again), even if a fourth season is done. I hate to deprive the cast, John Barrowman especially, of my support, but RTD just destroyed the show so completely that there's no way, at least in my mind, it could be restored to what it was before COE :[.
