Your opinion of what people need to read may differ than the opinion of the people themselves. Current events and politics and sticking it to the proverbial man and up to the minute coverage on whatever might be happening in our world - that might be one route to becoming a citizen for one particular person. But I cannot believe there is one objective scale with rigid criteria defining what does or doesn't qualify as good journalism.
