aaahhhhh..... I couldn't be more jealous of you right now than if you told me you were updating from Shox's house while he fixed you drinks.
aaahhhh.,...I want to see them again. And i'd settle for seeing them in Rockford, but ohmygosh...how cool to see them in LA with the hobbits actually IN attendance. Squuueeeee!!! So cool!!!

So cool!!! *flails* I know! It's the perfect embodiment of the hobbit actors' love & support for their friends (and for their fans, too, I'd like to think). It's a beautiful thing to feel a part of. I hope you and I get a chance to see them in LA together someday. (Though before too long I fear it would be a big stadium show and we'd be a million miles away and just have to imagine our hobbit actor friends backstage). I'd dearly love to see the band play a small venue in Rockford again-- that would be just perfect for me.
Great memories this year-- and I loved how often the subject of Dom kept coming up all weekend! I hope we can both go next year!! (LONGWANGER!)
Dom may say he doesn't like being recognized, but you don't go to a WWS show during ORC weekend unless you want to -- cheeky boy. :PHeeee! Of course I took that as total validation that he loves us. :p
( ... )
I really think it will happen this year. Lol, I guess I've probably said that before >_> but aside from the orc-scheduling-snafu they seem to have things a bit more together this year... You've been such a dedicated fan for so long-- I really want you to get to see them soon!! :)
Oh hon, I didn't know you were angsting out about the autograph sessions. You seemed ok to me. Damn me for being wrapped up in my own little world. I would have leant (at least) some moral support. *hugs you belatedly*
I'm glad you did get a chance to see Billy doing what he does so well, and that is interact with people. He has such personal charm and is very adept at putting people at ease. Any nerves I ever have when meeting him fade away as soon as he looks at me. He always acts as if meeting each of us is a big a treat for him. I hope that enthusiasm never leaves him.
I'm sorry I missed WWS, but I probably would have been too distracted by having hobbits nearby to enjoy it fully. I'm even more sorry to hear you got hurt! You poor thing! That is most definitely NOT the way to end the weekend! I'm glad you're doing better, though.
Let me say, meeting and spending time with you was a lovely bonus to a fun time. I hope we get a chance to see each other again soon. *hugs you some more*
Oh, don't worry about me and the autographs. Lol! It was even worse last year. It just isn't enough time for me to get my bearings, no matter how charming and accomodating the person on the other side of the table is. I get so self-conscious-- and if anyone else was paying attention to my ineptitude and trying to help, I probably would have been even more of a mess.
It's really a stretch for my social skills to go to these cons at all, and I had a terrific time this year-- due in no small part to hanging out with you and Gene. :) Thanks for all the hugs and I'm looking foward to hopefully seeing you again sometime soon!
Well, I'm glad you're doing better. And I'm glad that you enjoyed the show.
I loved your descriptions of little bits of Billy's panel. The last point had me laughing out loud. (And rememinded me of a scene from George of the Jungle.)
I have my own opinions about some of the topic of Dom and his relationship to his fans. Maybe I'll voice them sometime. Maybe.
It's been so fun finally recalling my favorite things from the weekend! I really had a great time at the con and the show. I haven't seen George of the Jungle-- not sure what scene you're referring to? (And I think I copied that last bit from the transcript that msilverstar wrote, without giving due credit).
One of the really interesting things about meeting you was hearing some of your different perspectives about Dom. The way I think about it, since we don't know him personally, we all have a slightly different sort of idea of him that we fell in love with, and I'm fascinated to see how your Dom differes from mine. (If that makes any sense). :)
FYI I'm deleting this comment, since you guys are discussing this elsewhere. I feel really bad about this-- it seems to just be a misunderstanding, and I really hope you guys can work it out without any hard feelings. -K
