The Colossus of Rhodes is still the main thing I'm thinking of with that foot (although funny that I didn't think of the Argonath till I read people's reviews!). I know very little about the Colossus, but now I'm curious to look it up, in case my intuitive leap was actually worth something, LOL.

*has no idea what the colossus of rhodes is* (shows ignorance). Will google it someday. But W.T.F. is up with the 4 toes?! LOL, all I could think when he said that was 'Simpsons'.

*googles 'Colossus of Rhodes' and is confused*. Are there ruins remaining, or just stories?

I don't honestly know too much about it myself, I just knew it was one of the wonders of the ancient world, and that it was a huge statue astride a harbour. I was quite surprised when that was the first thing to pop into my head, actually!

I had to laugh when I saw the pile of tubes, cause when they first showed the tube system, I said to shawcrossedlove, "How much you wanna be that tube system leads no where and there is just a pile of stuff out in the jungle somewhere!" I love when I get things right. ;)

LOL! Good call! That thought never occurred to me before I saw that giant pile o tubes. (Though my friend just told me that there was actually a Simpsons episode where all the tubes Homer sends out end up in the stream outside the power plant!) Hahaha.

I guess because we use a system like that at work and although I know (in theory) that the tubes end up in departments...a part of me always imagined them going off into the great beyond somewhere.

I really have far too much time on my hands. ;)

The pile of tubes made me think that the button was fake after all, but I guess not... :o)

I thought it would be cool if Dom went deaf, just because I thought that would be a cool new story line for him.

Also I love Desmond more than I should.

Musician going deaf-- I could see that working. It would be dark and interesting, and the puritanical networks wouldn't ruin the story like they did with the heroin addiction. (Though I might go crazy if show after show we 'hear what Charlie hears' like we did after the first explosion).

Desmond just HAS to survive!!!

After reading some C+C spoilers I was hoping for some major snogging, so I was a tad bit disappointed. Other than that the ep was great. So nice to see Desmond again. And that statue, I thought of the Colossus too, but four toes???
