It had been a long day for the entire cast and crew of Wicked. Usually two shows were no problem but it had been a difficult day with Glinda's 'bubble' had broke down during the middle of a scene and one of the townspeople had turned up late and it was just all so hectic. Everyone was glad the day was over.

Even so, Kristin was trying her best to be cheerful, her neck was hurting right now and she was tired but as soon as she took her vikadin she would feel better. She knew she would. She had been....slightly high on stage after taking a whole one once after all.

As she reached her dressing room, she heaved a sigh of relief as she stepped inside, shutting her door as Maddie clambered out of her basket and over to greet her owner. That made Kristin smile at least,

“Hey there’s my baby,” she cooed as the dog yipped quietly up at her and wagged her tail. The blonde bent over, wincing slightly even with her neck brace on and picked the dog up, hugging the little bitch to her chest.

“Whose gonna give mommy some love huh,” she murmured to the dog as she walked over to the padded swivel chair that was placed in front of the mirror and sat down in it. She continued to murmur sweet nothings to her ‘baby’ as she settled down.

Maybe that was the reason she didn’t notice Idina enter the room until the other woman had cleared her throat. Kristin turned her head, smiling at her co-star as she beckoned for her to come closer.

“Hey. Thought you and Taye were going to dinner tonight?” the blonde greeted with a smile as she carefully let the dog get down onto the floor before she turned to face the dark haired woman. She had all the green make-up off by now and had changed back into her casual clothes, forgoing the nice shirt she had brought with her that morning for a t-shirt and one of her many beanie hats.

“We were. Had to cancel though, he thinks he’s coming down with something so I told him to stay home,” she answered with a small frown. The taller woman shoved her hands in her jean pockets, noting that Kristin was still in costume, including the decorated neck brace.

“You okay there?”

Since they had started rehearsals all that time ago Kristin and Idina had become close friends, they spent a lot of time together but didn’t seem to get sick of each other. The talk was easy, the interactions almost intimate and their relationship a strong one. Idina was married and Kristin not looking for anybody but you just had to ask anyone on the cast and crew to hear that they were pretty much together without all the usual issues that happened when dating, especially when you spent too much time together.

The petite blonde nodded, slowly taking her neck brace off so she could change out of her own costume and into her plain clothes. It was difficult, slightly painful and not something she was supposed to do but she preferred to do it anyway. The drugs helped her and she had enough pink in her dressing room, she didn’t need a sparkly neck brace as well.

“Yeah, hurts a little but I’m used to it,” she answered with a small giggle. Idina couldn’t help but smile in response,

“Want me to give you a neck rub?” she offered.

Kristin turned her head to look at her, studying her for a few moments before she nodded,

“Okay…thanks.”

The Jewish woman smiled kindly down at the blonde as she turned the chair around and placed her hands on the petite woman’s shoulders gently. She set to work rubbing and massaging at her neck gently, hands dropping to rub the shoulders to help relieve Kristin of any stress as she worked. The smaller woman’s eyes had shut, her mouth falling open as she sighed happily, a quiet moan escaping her lips. Idina paused at the noise, looking down at Kristin with a frown and pursed lips. Kristin cracked one eye open,

“Why’d you stop?” she whined quietly. The dark haired woman laughed quietly,

“Sorry,” she replied before she got to work again.

The process was kept up for another five minutes or so until Idina stopped and stepped away.

“Feeling any better?”

Kristin nodded, practically beaming as she pushed herself to her feet, moving very carefully with her neck.

“Yes! I feel great now, thanks,” she answered as she walked over to the other female, stopping the brunette by the door.

“What would I do without you Dee,” she commented, pecking the Jewish woman on the lips with a smile.

“I’m going to get changed and head home now. Night,” she said.

With a nod, Idina exited the room, softly touching her fingers to her lips as she walked back to her own dressing room to get her stuff and to go back home to her ill husband.

She was one lucky woman.

She was starring in a hit production based off a book she loved, she had a wonderful husband and she had Kristin.

What more could she ask for?
