Happy Birthday Mr Oberst!!

To celebrate the Birthday of Conor Oberst, i have decided to update my livejournal with all the things i have thought about updating it with over the past few weeks but have failed to do. Hooray for inspiration! Hooray for Conor!!

I arrived at work (this is like 2 weeks ago now, just after i got home sometime) and my manager says to me "Hey Kerryn, tonight can you and Michael empty the storeroom upstairs of all the junk and move it down to the games room? Oh, and empty the second room up there too, the one with all the posters in it." hmmm.

So basically, the "games room" is the ground floor of an old bank, upstairs are three smallish offices, and a bathroom. The stairs themselves are quite steep and have an annoying corner at the bottom. The offices are also not airconditioned at all. Hooray!

This mystery third storeroom seems to be the place where all the junk got turfed. There were mostly empty paint cans, a christmas tree, 3 old ticket printers, a couple of small security monitors, a video player, christmas decorations, a giant deflated inflatable plastic dinosaur.... etc, trash that should never have been stored in the first place. It took michael and i a whole night of walking up and down stairs getting sweatier and sweatier by the second to empty the thing and ended up with us throwing garbage bags full of posters down the stairs and laughing hysterically when the bags broke and posters went everywhere. So much "this is so awful i need to laugh" laughter.

Oh wait, that was not the most ridiculous night of work ever - the most ridiculous night of work ever was the time when Mark and i had to unroll all of the banners and measure them with a tape measure and roll them back up. I amused myself by switching between metric and imperial. It basically sucked.

What amuses me about this list is the fact that i wanted to go putt-putt golfing with future partners, AND i knew how terrible i am at the game. This also applies to scrabble. Also, do you know any boys who like 2nd hand clothes shopping on a date?
