Well, I've made my rauschpfeife teaching debut, such as it was. As it turns out, my friend has a rather severe reed issue, and that was what was causing a lot of his intonation issues -- he'll still need a lot of practice with a tuner, but the first thing he needs is a reed that doesn't cause *my* instrument to go out of tune as soon as we try

Except when you can't find yours because your 2 year old shoved into the keyboard of the piano and then your piano tuner teaches you how to take it apart on the phone while laughing. mwahahaha
Not that I know how that works or anything.
edit: maybe make your own reeds?

Yeah, I really should learn how to make my own reeds -- there's someone local who'd likely be willing to teach me. I just fear trying to do fiddly detail work with sharp blades, because I've met me before. :)
