Yeah! It's called speech-to-text... The phone listens to my words and converts them to a text-message, then sends it... On the other end, the text can be read aloud. It's SO kewl.
Those are damn awesome phones....careful, you will start to get anxious without it, you get so attached to being so connected to everything all the time...my friend does that. He FREAKS without his phone...which is why I hide it on occasion. :P
Honestly this thing is a pile of shit next to the iPhone, though it's definitely better than average for most Android handsets and I'd rank it near the top, though I find Android to be a pretty crappy experience once the novelty wears off.
The applications on Android are still crap. Memory management is terrible. HTC's Sense is probably the best of the overlays (and I love the weather widget) , but good lord does it lag the fuck out of the thing after a few months. The keyboard is a joke. Battery life is about half of an iPhone's, and speed is going to crap out after awhile.
It's also an HTC. Hate to say it, but I hope US Cellular has got good support and is happy to swap phones. My Nexus One featured wonky capacitive touch buttons and required two full restores before I ditched it. My HTC Apache went through a replacement every three weeks on average . And HTC absolutely does -not- support their phones. People who bought this phone's CDMA predecessor, the HTC Hero, were subject to some serious half-assed software updates (

Owning the HTC Hero, I can say that maybe only some people have suffered those problems, because I've not experienced one issue with this phone. I've owned for 8 months and the thing is still snappy as ever. Probably also helps that it's been rooted and I've taken care of the ROMs, software updates, and a few mods myself. So, could be the reason why the phone is still running strong for me.

The three iPhone users I've spoken to so far, within 30 seconds have gone, "Oh wow." and within 5 minutes has conceded that in many ways, it's better than an iPhone.

Ever since I switched from my Samsung Rant to my HTC Hero, I've loved Android, especially after I rooted it. You might want to also look into getting your phone rooted, if you really want to start having fun with it.

I've had this phone for a couple of months now, and I love it with mouth. <3
It used to lag slightly if there were a lot of applications running at one time, though since they released the latest update, it's sooooo smooth. I've had literally about 25-30 applications running in the background before and didn't even notice, since it still ran perfectly. XD
