So...  The rise of Evil Squirrel Comics was all documented here, day by day, week by week...  From initial concept to fully licensed and operating business.  When things went smooth, I posted it here...  When we stumbled, I did the same...  But now, it seems, 9 months have gone by and I've not said a peep.  And of course, there's a reason for that ( Read more... )

In reflection, imagine all those experiences you've shared with ryan that you wouldn't have had if you were working. Do those 9 months surpass the 5 years? You've learned a lot from it and gained the courage to be able to move from it :)

I... Don't think I ever implied that I'd have rather been working? Truth be told, I wish I had walked away before the summer, so that I could have spent more time with Ryan, rather than every night at the store.

Owning a business during good times is a challenge. This recession has put many on shaky ground or out of business. Best of luck with things.

Sorry to hear it, man :-( Good luck this weekend, I hope it does the job.

As everyone's mentioned, I'm sure you gained a ton from the experience. But not only is the economy in the gutter, the comic (and really, print) industry itself seems to be in a huge state of flux these past few years. I'm sure you guys did all you could, congrats on making this far :-)
