I just had Marmite on toast for the first time since moving out, and it was good. :D It was a hell of a game to get it done though, I had to do the toast in the toaster (which involved me figuring out how to work the toaster, not that it's very complicated), then spread the butter, but by that time it was getting a bit cold already... so I tried ( Read more... )

.....is marmite that black stuff that i think i've asked u about in the past...? >>; <<;

2 layers of stuff on toast...? wow. closest i get to that is when i make what i call "sugartoast".... i invented it myself! :D lol

get the butter out ahead of time and already have some on the knife before putting the bread in the toaster. put the bread in the toaster and as soon as it comes out, take it and spread the butter (if the toast is hot enough the butter should start melting right away). sprinkle sugar onto the toast to taste and voila! still somewhat hotish sugartoast. ^_^ if the toast isn't hot enough to melt the butter i might stick it into the microwave for 10s like u did, but then that tends to take away some of the crispness from the toaster, so i try to avoid it if i can.

Marmite.

Well, two layers as in one layer of butter then one layer of Marmite... it's a bit weird without the butter, so you kind of have to do it. It's awkward. ;_; Maybe I should ask my mum.

But ooh, that sounds interesting. How much sugar do you put on? *might try it next time he feels like toast*

just sprinkle it really litely all over... :x you prob wont even be able to see the sugar 'cause it'll blend in/desolve into the butter. i usually just sprinkle it all over once or twice litely. depends on how much of a sweettooth you have. :3

if you do try it make sure to tell me how u like it! *is curious* :x

I loooove sugar... :O I have mountains on cereal and in tea and stuff. :p So I'd probably give at least two generous sprinklings, then.

Will do, though!
