lunar eclipse

Don't forget the eclipse of the moon tomorrow morning, 8/28/07. Moonrise is 6:56 tonight, moonset is 5:45 am tomorrow morning. The moon will set while the eclipse is in progress, but Mid-Eclipse is 4:37 am local time, so we'll get to see much of it. Just thought all you early-risers would like to know.

extra points will be given for shouting "turn around, bright eyes!" precisely at the height of the eclipse.

And it's not going to be visible here until about 5:30/6 in the a.m., which means the sun and fog in the morning will interfere. :(

Where is the best location within 30 minutes of downtown Abq from which to view this?

I would say just hopping on the freeway and heading out toward the volcanoes. It'll be wide open spaces there.
