Sorry I didn't tell you. :D I'm a fan of the Frames. If you want to see Mr. Hansard young and gangly and with long, curly hair, rent The Commitments which is an awesome movie and you should see it anyway.

Once was gorgeous, wasn't it? The soundtrack is really good too - I highly recommend!

He was in The Commitments? I am so putting that on my Netflix queue next!

I loved Once!! I bought the soundtrack literally MINUTES after watching the movie. I loved it that much. I'm probably going to buy some more of his music. He is such an incredibly talented musician...and his voice...gah! I love it.

Okay, so what other secrets are you holding out on my over there, Alex? hmmm? :)

Yeah, the internetz say they won an Oscar for best song...I'm not sure about the Grammy.

It's an awesome movie, really. So simple...and just really great. And the MUSIC! Watch it...it's totally fabulous!

*looks sheepishly around*

I first heard this song at the Oscars and couldn't believe my ears when they were declared as the winners. Not because I thought it didn't deserve, just because I didn't exspect such a simple yet brilliant song to win.

I think it's fabulous they won an Oscar for it. It's an amazing song...and you're right. It's so simple and brilliant. That's why I loved the movie. My hubby was saying it looked like it was filmed on a home video camera. Who the hell cares? How many freaking polished movies do we watch that totally bite? I'm willing to overlook the polish in order to watch a really good movie. And this one was it. That and the music. I'm glad you're listening to it. Listen to the rest of the songs. They are just as good!
