Screw this stupid situation. I am not allowing Imp to do any more work cleaning out her father's apartment. She got out all of the important paperwork for when this whole mess goes to probate and family pictures important to her

As long as Imp got what she needs (& wants) from the mess, then I think you made a good choice.
