Squid and I LOVED walking into the room after the Apollo launch simulation where you find yourself looking right up the bottom of a Saturn V. It's breathtaking--and expletive inducing. Both of us got most of "Holy Shi-" out before we remembered the school tour.

The other thing we noticed from the observation tower where you can look over to the launch pad--there's a big LOX tank with writing on it that you can't quite make out unless you put a quarter in the binoculars. When you do? You realizes that the writing says "No Smoking". That made me laugh.

My brother had a similar experience when he visited the Houston Space Center last summer, where they apparently also have a Saturn V on its side. (Makes me wonder how many places there are where you can see one.) I hadn't really known that my brother was a big fan of space exploration, but he is an engineer, and apparently there's something about rockets and spacecraft that make all engineers squee like little kids, no matter what their discipline.
