it's pretty good so far... it has both freaked me out and made me cry and i'm not even 1/3 of the way into it yet. i'm enjoying it more than even his usual, and i'm a big fan anyway.

basically the inspirational part for this poem is sort of the history used of saint bartholomew... the themes revolving around that are attributed to certain characters in the book, and while i have criss-crossed some character themes to make this poem, that is what it comes from in a convoluted sort of way.

that probably makes no sense, but yeah... look up the book and if it seems like your thing, give it a whirl. =)
