Oh this is just lovely and so pensive. I love hearing what the different characters are thinking during this time that we really didn't see. Can't wait for part 2!
WAIT. Are you trying to imply that people don't recover from severe burns by the next time you see them?! :D This is really lovely. So fraught with emotions; I can just feel how caught they both are. At least here Lee is taking action, so Kara will have to. Looking forward to more!
Lee's willingness to share while Kara's hurt but he's desire for resolution later is intriguing and believable. (And I do like that the resolution doesn't come in this story.) I particularly love the end, Kara's need to run being stilled not just by physical immobility but by Lee. Wonderful, imagery.
Thank you for the wonderful comment. I didn't even realize I'd gone so over the top with all the imagery until people started mentioning it and then I reread it and I was all 'whoa! dial it down chick!' :P
This was wonderful. I'm another who is annoyed by how quickly she recovered on the show. I love Lee leaving Dee no matter what is going to happen between Kara and him. It makes him seem like a decent person.
Kara is great here. In pain from her hands and her life and just not sure what it is she wants or even needs to do.
So happy Kara is working for you. Hopefully I can get her head on straight, no promises though. Sometimes she does whatever she wants to even when I'm holding the reins. Haha.
Re-reading because of your brilliant self-rec over at no_takebacks. I'm thrilled at the thought of you working on this some more. It's a totally fascinating concept. I'm a sap and kinda love the "you have until X time to make up your mind who you want" idea. Not just with BSG, in all stories. I also love the "we're willing to wait things out because there's something bigger than our romantic entanglements" aspect to it too. I love when Kara says Between the two of you, I think I’ve managed a couple forehead kisses and a few knee pats all week. I’m not really rolling in play right now
Anyways, thank you for the follow up nudge. I totally need it. I think I'm making some progress here, AND I get a week off for Christmas so I should have to time to play with our silly little pilots then. #famouslastwords
And that's right Kara, no play for you until you learn to play more carefully with your toys! *nods*

LOL! Me? Never! So I guess I'm not the only one bothered by that little blip in storytelling, huh?
Glad it's going over OK and yes, I am a major fan of action-taking!Lee so look for more of him to come. :)
