Wow...that's beautifully depressing. I could never write this way because I'm all about getting what I want but I really enjoyed the wistful feel of it all.

So sad and sweet. I love her picture of perfect life. I'm hearing No Doubt's Simple Kind of Life in my head now.

Really it's something everyone does. If X had been different then I know that Y and Z would have happened. I'm not going to depress myself by wondering if this really would have been likely had the Cylons not attacked.

gracias! I'm glad the picture of her happy life worked for you. It felt a little too pretty to me, but I think the fact that it was only a daydream kept it from being overly sickly sweet. Obviously everything seems so easy from that distance, but I always felt the two of them were just missing their 'happy ever after' by inches or seconds or always one heartbeat or footstep out of synch on that. Idk, I felt like depressing myself today I guess. :)
