The method that I would go about doing so is through a wirless router. you can secure that by assigning it a WPA network password wich one of us can help you set if you decide to go that route, and futher more, after securing said network, choose not to broadcast your ssid. That will keep hidden from your neighbors that you actually have a wirless network up. Once the upstairs computer is in it should stay on the network without having to re-enter the password all of the time. Mike is more knowelgable than I, but that is how I have been doing buisness down here in Tx with my roommate and two other guys, and it works well. Nobody knew that we even had a network until 3 days ago when we told them and it has been up for almost 6 months.
