My kiddo went to hang with the BH's parents last week, then my sister picked her up on Thursday. I had a conversation with the BH's mom about activities, food, etc that were okay for the kiddo. i feel your pain.
in my case, i know for a fact that bren's grandmother would do anything that suits her fancy without asking me. this includes but is not limited to church, snacks, sodas, junk toys, whatever. it has been this way since bren was born. nothing i can do about it, talking to her is like talking to a wall and it "hurts her feelings". so, i talk to bren about it instead.
bren's dad, incidentally, is the same way, only his tendencies concern video games and movies.
since bren goes all the way across the country to spend summers with these people, i just have to trust that he will be able to sort out the crap for himself. eventually. ;)
