Stranger than...

Thought I'd write a belated entry about last weekend's "Stranger than..." non-fiction event at Foyles.  I only found out about it on the Wednesday beforehand, booked a ticket online, didn't get any form of email confirmation but my name was on the list at the 'door' (or the entrance to the gallery at least).  Arrived early, all self-concious

Funny you say that - one of the things Mantel said should be avoided was three page descriptions about people getting dressed!

Loved reading your entry. It stirred up memories for this old lady. Many decades ago when I first started working ( in a bank) I joined Foyles Book Club and how I looked forward to the arrival of a new book each month.
Thanks for that memory nudge.
