So I was supposed to go to Universal today with Erin from work, but I checked my account before we were supposed to leave and I only have like $30 for this week. It was pretty funny cus I thought I had slept in but when I called Erin at 11 something I woke her up, and only to tell her I couldnt come today. I felt like a pretty big ass for that one, but I guess it wasnt such a terrible thing.
So a couple naps / TV shows / Riviera later Ryan calls me and informs me that I'm coming with him to Disneyquest. Apparently hes been planning this all day and telling everyone thats what we were doing today. Not that I had any other plans, or that it even made me upset, it was just pretty funny. Ryan leaves in the other apartment complex for Disney CPs though, and he missed his first bus so had to take a later one. He wasnt too happy about that until he actually made it on the bus and met these new arrivals to the CP program from Peru. (he speaks Spanish pretty well) So before Disneyquest we gave them a little tour of Downtown Disney.
Eventually we did make it and it was a blast. We stayed until close and even then only left because the place was closing. I made a quite passable drawing of Donald Duck at the animation stand they had there. Who oddly enough is the only Disney character with a middle name, because he joined the military during WWII and it was on his ID card. I forget what it is though, something like Fontain or Lembrose. Something really old sounding that a grade schooler would be embarrassed to tell.
So after me and Ryan save the day a few times, design a couple roller coasters and create a hit country song, we head out to go home, when I see this girl that I worked a Halloween party with one night last month. She's one of the 4 or 44 Katies I've met down here, and she just happen to be in Ryan's traditions class. We got to talking to her and her friend and eventually decided to head down to the Adventurers Club down in Pleasure Island. I guess I would describe this place as a bar / dinner show. I was a really quite charming. Had this Extraordinary Gentlemen / Ernest Hemingway feel to it. We ducked out early though to make it to the busses before we had to wait another hour.
Unfortunately this is when the night starts to unravel. The bus that came was only going to Chatham, my apartment complex. The driver also wasnt going to take anyone from Vista (the other apartment complex) to Chatham so they could ride the "A" bus from there to Vista. The next bus wasnt due to come for like an hour. Katie's "friend" just hopped on the bus and said see you later, but I felt horrid leaving Katie and Ryan to wait an hour just to go home when they were both so worn out. They finally talked me into getting on the bus since there was no telling if the bus that came in an hour was gonna stop at Chatham as well as Vista. Apparently the bus schedule is only printed for its asthestic value.
After that I got home and was greeted once more by Josh telling me something about Taft getting him in trouble with Nicole for telling Nicole what she said to him about Taft. Now I'd like to think I was a smart boy but my brain is just not wired to handle this kind of information. I could have finished an isometric drawing of a Saturn V rocket in the amount of time it took him to explain this story. He thanked me for listening to him, (which has been happening with quite a few people lately) but I sincerely hope he doesnt expect me to understand any of it. It would take some kind of modified family tree diagram to fully illustrate the complexity of the "he said she said" bullshit that goes on around my room mates.
Then my best friend down here calls me and tells me that she has a sisk (spelling?) in her head. Shes taking medicine for it and its going to go away, so I guess thats no so bad, but she's had to deal with so much down here I really feel ... I dont even know what the proper word for it is. Extreme regret perhaps? The bad news didnt end there though but I'll spare one and all the details of a stranger's private life.
Anyway my day was much more eventfully than I would have ever expected, and although I had thought I would go to bed early feeling quite rested and a tad bored I'm instead getting to sleep later than usual with a weak mind and body. Here's hoping I get a deep restful sleep.
