I have for the most part, had writer's block. I had little to no desire to write. even with writers group reforming, I have not been able to write though I have a story brewing in the back of my head, tormenting me as the little pieces of it dance behind my minds eye. but I am slowly getting the pieces on the computer and arranged

I know what you mean about evil characters. They are difficult. The only ones I'm any good at writing are the ones who really don't think they are evil, and have enough good in them for that to be plausible, like High Lord Ardrus in my Kerian novel. Ardrus is the best villain I've ever written, but he is not all bad, and so it's possible for the reader to feel genuinely sorry for him when he finally meets his unpleasant end.
