Opposites attract, it was as simple as that. It started with the standings of personal opinions that somehow clashed, yet like a puzzle piece, clicked together to create a simple harmony of instant desire. At first it was curiosity that came knocking at their doors, but that soon led to unsatisfied yearnings, and soon, uncontrolled cravings. Reasoning and logic was discarded as pure instinct took control. And like a beast, they devoured one another in a hungry debate of dominance, neither hesitating to savor and mark every crevice, every smooth surface of skin; they were each other's personal canvas and painter.
LuHan would find himself lost in a sea of euphoric touches and caresses, drowning in his moans, groans and greedy demands. The contrast of heated lips against his sensitive body sent a wave of burning fire under his skin, the frantic heartbeat under cold finger tips leading to the point of infatuated kisses and wanton whispers. The build of anticipation and panic, the expectation and alarm; it resounded through the arching body that echoed with insatiable hunger.
The way Kai voiced his name, the bittersweet bite of his whisper next to his ear, sent a nostalgic wave of security and warmth through LuHan's body and mind. They purred each other's names like a waterfall, both being engulfed in a flame of need and wanton murmurs.
When LuHan would reach up, gasping and sighing as his hands roam over Kai's shoulder's and back, to Kai, it was a game of patience. The dominance he held over the sexily tortured body beneath his electrified his senses. It also made his lips curve up in a way that drove the elder male crazy.
He wanted to imprint all of himself onto the small body that laid under his palm. He wanted to mark and mar the pearly skin; tainting it with his name, with his touch. The hearts, to both of them, were already taken; taken and devoured until nothing except mere thoughts and memories of each other were left.
A little voice echoed throughout the room, urging them both on; more, more, more. The air was smothering and heavy, as quiet laughter faded into ecstatic sighs with the rustling of blankets.
And too soon, the magic of the wine, the warmth, the fire; it all fades with the rising of the sun.
"...and make sure you prepare those files I sent you yesterday... yes, I'll be in later this afternoon to revise them--oh, and don't forget to send a message to rendez-vous later tonight, I'll send you the coordinates later... yes, that is all. Okay. zài-jiàn."
Kai could hear LuHan's voice, a distant buzz that was poking into his dreams. As a soft sigh escapes his lips, he felt the warm rays of sunlight that peeked through closed curtains on his exposed back, the hairs on his neck rising from the warmth. Eyes half open, he reaches over in one swoop of his long arms and twists it around LuHan's bare torso. He feels the vibrations of the chuckle before he hears it, and the faint snap of a cell phone shutting closed also reaches his ears.
"Good morning, bed head," LuHan greets, running soft fingers through Kai's dark hair. He marvels at the softness of the slightly curled strands; he swore he could sit there, on the edge of the bed as Kai held his naked body and he ran his fingers through the mess of black hair that tickled against his skin.
But the time that ran reality was too pressing to be doing just that, and LuHan knew it. He still, however, didn't hold back his sigh of displease.
"Good morning," Kai murmurs, landing a kiss on LuHan's hip before rolling over to stretch; the defined muscles of his upper body relax and contract with his languid movements. A flash of black light momentarily reflects through LuHan's eyes, but he quickly conceals it. They had their fun last night; now it was back to work.
"You're like a cat," LuHan says, amused. He runs ticklish fingers up Kai's stomach before tilting the younger boys chin up towards him. Landing a soft morning kiss on those full lips, he pulls back with a smile.
But in a blink of an eye, Kai grips the back of his neck, and grins; in a way that made LuHan's throat dry. And a simple morning kiss is suddenly turned into a frenzy war of lips and tongue. When LuHan's eyes focus, he finds himself back on the bed with Kai hovering over him; showering him with kisses around the neck.
"I hate for us to part so soon," Kai grumbles, pulling away and smirking down at the flushed face of his senior of four years.
Cheeks flaming, LuHan scowls up at the young boy, but knows that his frowns do him no justice; it just earns him more kisses.
Their hearts were already thumping in unison, both singing a song of longing before they even parted. But each had their outside worlds to maintain, and as much as they wanted to spend time together, they could not without the cover shadows and darkness.
"When can I see you again?" Kai asks. He didn't want to be the one that sounded whiney, and clung to LuHan like a pathetic girl in love; but he couldn't help the way his voice worded the question, or the unhappy frown that followed it.
Eyes downcast as he slipped on his shirt and pants, LuHan shrugs before meeting Kai's sad stare with his own disheartened look. "I'm being sent to Hong Kong tomorrow. I'm not sure when I'll be back." They were standing on opposite sides of the bed they shared just last night; where they imprinted and bonded to each other numerous times. But already, that all seemed so far away.
Throwing on his jacket, Kai checks the inner pocket for that heavy object out of habit; the metal outline of the deadly weapon brushing against his torso. He watches silently as LuHan discreetly pulls out that same deadly weapon from the holder he wore under his own jacket. The loud click of the gun being checked echoes throughout the room.
An eerily silence fills the gap between the two lovers, and Kai can't help but to grimace slightly at seeing the baby-ish face of LuHan, his precious other half, hiding a gun under his leather jacket. It wasn't the first time he has seen this, but that didn't mean that he was used to it.
"You dropped your badge," LuHan murmurs, bending to pick up a black wallet-like case beside his feet. A strained smile tugged at his lips, as he walked around to hand it over to Kai. "Detective Kim JongIn," LuHan whispers, his fingers brushing against Kai's in heartbroken yearning.
Tapping LuHan's chin upwards, Kai, who graduated as the youngest and the top soldier in his class at the state army, wraps a secure arm around the small waist of the elder male in front of him. Staring at the clear brown orbs of the right hand man of the China's biggest mafia leader, Kai slowly rests his forehead against LuHan's as LuHan's arms come up to hug Kai's shoulders.
"Bye," LuHan whispers, digging his face into the crook of Kai's neck. The gun that pushed against his chest was heavy and painful; it was a gun that he may or may not have to point at Kai in the future.
"Bye," Kai also whispers, placing a kiss over LuHan's eyes.
They both knew not to mutter the forbidden words of "I love you". It made their jobs, which were at the opposite ends of the spectrum, harder than it already was. They came to a silent mutual agreement, and understood that they felt the same towards each other, even if it were to never be announced out loud.
The night of euphoric sighs and greedy, wanton demands were long behind them. Nothing but memories of bittersweet whispers were left as they separated and went their own ways.
"I believe that two people are connected at the heart, and it doesn't matter what you do, or who you are, or where you live; there are no boundaries or barriers if two people are destined to be together."
(I hope you excuse me of any grammatical errors. I'll get to editting this later on ^__^)
A/N: .....I can't believe that I'm finding myself writing about a group that hasn't even debuted yet. All those teasers and pictures have gotten the best of me, I admit, and hottdamn Kai and LuHan are my favourites. (and I am still wantonly wishing for them to be in the same group Q__Q exo-m? exo-k? why not just make one big EXO?! OTL)
I hadn't planned for this to be Kai/LuHan, but seeing how cute and uke-ish LuHan is (who I can't believe is older than Kai) and how charismatic Kai is (who is younger than I expected).... I just had to centralize them. /facepalms.
I am doing this instead of writing up essays for applications and school.
EXO. WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME. /sobbing.
