If you haven't seen it already, then I strongly suggest viewing Stranger Than Fiction. It made me laugh, cry, and laugh some more. Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson, Will Ferrell, and Maggie Gyllanhaal are fabulous in a cast together ( Read more... )

I loved the movie so much. I wanted to see it again, as soon as it was over.

I think my favorite part was when Ana said she'd accept his apology, but only because he stammered.

And, yes, Dar!

Wow! You'll have an amazing time!

Thanks for the Stranger Than Fiction review. I was wondering about it.

I would bet that you'd love Stranger Than Fiction.

All the characters had beautiful vocabularies, and there were whole scenes full of literary theory witticisms. Oh, it was glorious!

Also, I think I've discovered a unashamedly superficial lust-based crush on Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Maggie Gyllenhaal... oh yeah. I can see that!

Hopefully I'll get round to seeing it before it hits DVD, but I'm not holding my breath. I hardly ever go to the movies anymore.

Nice writing. I myself thought Stranger Than Fiction was trash, than again I have higher standards for the performing thespian arts.

Higher standards or different standards?

You've no idea what my standards are, or what standards, for that matter, I utilized to form my opinion of Stranger Than Fiction.

No, of course I don't know what your standards are. I never suggested that I did. I can deduce from your opinion that your idea of a great movie is not the same as my own. I'm entitled to that opinion. You sound a little defensive in your posts. Have I touched a sore spot? Do you need a hug?
