Week #10 - Voting

Apr 11, 2007 20:23

We had 14 fantastic entries in total, thank you so much to everyone that entered! :D

NEW VOTING RULE: IF YOU ENTERED THE CHALLENGE YOU MUST VOTE. I won't hunt you down and kill you if you don't but we were lagging so much on votes that I had to enforce this rule. It will only take a minute and will help us pick a deserving winner. :-)

i dunno if i did the poll thing right...

i did them separately, and after i had submitted the first one, i just hit the back button and three boxes were checked for the second poll.

i just wanted to make sure i didn't accidentally vote twice. if i did, i meant to vote for stone, our hundred words, and thoughts & whispers.

I'm sorry -- while I consdier myself capable of typing one word after another, I don't consider myself qualified to judge who is batter at it than me, in descending order. Accordingly I shall be withdrawing from contributing to your community, having been deficient (it would appear) in the thing to which I look to others.

Maybe instead of use of a poll, you could have it so people vote in comments, that you keep screened, and only vote for maybe one and have to give a reason why it's their favorite? I don't know it just seems like it gives us a chance to state why we had one favorite, and it will help pick clearer winners, and you will have a better record of who is voting and for what reasons.

I'm just tossing some suggestions out there, I wouldn't really like a panel, just seems to secretive for me. I'm fine with whatever though, I just like writing to prompts, helps me get some creativity back.

I have another idea for submitting, or voting. Can we possibly tighten who can vote? Some people have a a very wide friends list who would all come and vote for them and skew the voting.
