You did it. You just broke my brain in the very best way possible. I mean, I'm no stranger to Jesus/Judas - I've SEEN Superstar - but this? This was amazing, and so so poetic.

"Yes. They will call you 'betrayer' and your name will be a curse on the lips of believers. It must be done so that the scriptures of the prophets will be fulfilled. And what matter, if on my lips your name will be a blessing?" Jesus moved his hands to hold him fast by the sides of his face, fingers tangled in his hair, forcing Judas to meet his eyes. Healing hands, but so unforgiving.

"On your lips, it's agony."

I especially adore this part. I think it's the absolute nailing you've done of what I imagine Jesus to have spoken like. It's so hard to describe, but you've woven together biblical canon and conjecture to such a true voice. And oh, Judas waking up in heaven.
