Title: Blind
Pairing: Sehun / Luhan
Rating: R
Summary: You can't see me, so I love you like this. My blackened and bruised heart, reaches out to you, but your eyes look past me and tell me it's only pitch black outside. You just endlessly look out the window as I slowly fade to dust and disappear.

SeHun always questions their relationship. They aren't friends, but never act as enemies. If one looks at it, it's merely a give and take relationship. But hidden under all those fake pretenses and lingering touches, was something meaningful. So when a life is taken right before his eyes, SeHun finally realizes their buried secret.

A pained hiss escapes SeHun's lips as his back collides rather harshly with the wall.

"LuHan, move out of my way, or--" words suddenly cut off with a gasp as a tongue runs down his exposed neck, teeth nipping at the soft skin.

"Or what?" A playful grin paints across a pair of amused lips. "Are you going to hit me, SeHun? Are you going to shoot me with that big gun of yours?" A mischievous gleam shines in LuHan's narrowed eyes as he taps the revolver on the ground with the toe of his shoe. Keeping a watchful gaze on SeHun's face, he kicks the weapon away. A pregnant silence fills the room as the metal object skids across the cement floor before hitting the wall with an echoing thud.

"Damn you," SeHun hisses, squirming under the unnaturally strong grip LuHan had on his arms. Their bodies were flushed against each other, thighs sliding between thighs as they fell into step. SeHun flexes his arms, straining as he tries to push his way past LuHan. He swears profusely in a string of incoherent mutters when LuHan presses his knee right along his crotch, causing SeHun to jerk his hips at the motion.

"There's always a problem with men in uniform," LuHan tsks, nose nuzzling the junction where SeHun's neck meets the curve of his shoulders, "just because you wear the badge, you think you have authority over everyone." LuHan chuckles as his grip tightens, "Well SeHun, let me show you who you can't control." He emphasizes his point with a bite, marring the porcelain hue red.

SeHun hisses in pleasured pain. "Fuck, why are you so strong?" he mutters, whimpering when LuHan leans up to nibble on his ear.

"For all the better to eat you up with, my dear," LuHan whispers, words ghosting over SeHun's warm cheeks. A sharp intake of air and a shudder of SeHun's body echoes his words. "What a responsive body," he hums in delight. Carefully loosening his grip on one of the arms when he deems SeHun to have lost some of his fighting spirit, he slides his free hand between their bodies. Fingers teasingly tiptoe across the buckle of SeHun's belt before forgoing all pretenses of foreplay and palming the obvious bulge rather harshly. He kisses down SeHun's jaw with a pleased smile as the taller boy leans forward, forehead resting against LuHan's shoulder in defeat.

"We don't have time for this," SeHun pants, moaning low in his throat as LuHan unzips his pants at a tantalizing speed, "I already sent the call, they'll be here soon." He gulps and lifts his head slightly with a feeble attempt to push away, "they'll be looking for you."

LuHan contemplates the graveness of SeHun's words with an amused lift of his lips. "Well then," he murmurs, cold hands dipping inside SeHun's pants to grab the erection, "I guess we'll have to be quick."

And with the most sweetest and angelic smile SeHun has ever seen, LuHan gets down to his knees, lips parted with enthusiasm.

"How do you keep breaking into my apartment? I've changed my lock three times already because of you," SeHun mutters, frowning in disapproval. He sighs when LuHan shrugs and buries himself deeper into the couch.

"If you give me a key, I wouldn't have to break in," Luhan says, crossing his legs.

SeHun rolls his eyes, "not a chance." He walks over to the lounging male and crosses his arms. "How did you escape without being caught? I was sure I knocked you out."

LuHan narrows his eyes, "yeah, thanks for that." He shakes his head and uncrosses his legs, "after I went through all that trouble to give you a blowjob," he reaches forward with his foot, smirking as he toes the front of SeHun's pants. "But I wouldn't be a professional in my field if I got caught by the likes of your men."

SeHun raises an eyebrow, ignoring the heat that pooled at his stomach as LuHan kept pressing his foot against his groin. "And you call what you're doing a job?"

"To some, sure it's looked down on, but to people like us, it's an art," LuHan murmurs, eyes flashing in victory as he sees SeHun twitch when he runs the back of his foot under the growing bulge.

"And who is this us?" SeHun mutters, voice hitching as the foot moves away from his crotch and down his thigh.

"You, me, and all those amateurs out there," LuHan answers, unzipping his jacket as he spreads his legs in invitation. He grins devilishly as he watches SeHun fight with himself, an internal conflict of logic and arousal.

"Why would I be counted on par with you," SeHun retorts. He doesn't resist when LuHan wraps his legs around his hips, pulling him closer.

"Seeing how you allow me access to everything, and off the hook with anything," LuHan drapes his arms around SeHun's neck, hugging tight until SeHun was hovering right over him on the couch, "I was under the impression you were on my side."

SeHun snorts, "you're a criminal, I'm the law." He stares down at LuHan's challenging gaze, "the only side I'm on is the other side of the bars."

LuHan hums, amused. "Does that mean you'll punish me?" he trails his nose across SeHun's jaw, lips tickling the ear as he whispers, "Officer SeHun?"

Growling deep in his throat, SeHun roughly turns LuHan's face as he clashes their lips together. Neither of them relent or obediently surrender to let the other dominate him. Fighting for control, they push and surge up against each other with harsh breaths and feverish tongues.

It isn't until later, when they're covered sticky and hot, that SeHun asks for questions and LuHan easily answers, hands combing through SeHun's hair in mindless affection.

"Alright, I want Kyungsoo's team ready on perimeter around areas B10 and B14. SeHun and YiXing, I want you two to lead the others around A16 to rendez-vous with me. Dismissed."

Taking off his glasses, SeHun pinches the bridge of his nose as the other officers slowly trickle out of the meeting room. He looks up with a jolt when the team leader walks over and places a hand on his shoulder.

"You okay, SeHun?" Kris asks, taking a seat next to the younger boy. "You seem really tired lately," observant as ever, Kris scans the depths of SeHun's eyes and slight frown of the lips in question.

SeHun shrugs the hand off and grins tightly. "It's nothing. Besides, this case is taking its toll on everyone, even you."

Kris chuckles, nodding his head in agreement as he rubs the back of his neck and leans back on the chair. "But you know, it has gotten easier to track down these law offenders lately," he looks over to SeHun with a judging glare, "only because of the alleyway information we've been receiving from an anonymous sender though." Kris clears his throat and looks away, staring up at the ceiling. "You wouldn't happen to know anything about that, would you?" he asks casually.

SeHun shakes his head, the glow in his eyes becoming dull with lies. "No. I haven't gotten a clue."

Kris nods once, lost in thought, "I see."

--backtrack: 1 year ago
The Blackhand. It wasn't a group or team of any sort, but an underground network of its own law ranging from assassins, drug dealers, and your everyday street thug. When the case file first came to Kris's team of specialists, it was also SeHun's first field mission alongside South Korea's most capable and skilled officers.

"Don't piss yourself newbie," Baekhyun chuckles, eyes curving up in amusement, "if you get scared, just scream. I'm sure someone will come and save you."

SeHun narrows his eyes and sneers, "don't piss yourself," he mocks. He would've fingered the disappearing form of the sniper if he wasn't holding his gun in both hands. "I'll show you," he whispers, following their team leader into the building.

--
"Everyone out! The entire back end has collapsed!"

Static buzzed in SeHun's ear piece as dust blinded his vision and painted everything gray. Tasting blood in his mouth and feeling something warm trickle down the back of his neck, he winces as he tries to get to his feet. Craning his neck and crying out in pain, he squirms on the cement floor, whimpering as his legs were trapped under a pile of rubble and broken metal.

"Shit," he breathes, the strength in his body slipping away as his mind was starting to become clouded. He presses the device in his ear with trembling fingers, "anybody there? Can anyone hear me?"

"Newbie, where are you? Get the fuck out of there!" SeHun hears Baekhyun shout. He scowls, hissing in pain as the rubble on top of his legs shift.

"My legs are stuck, I can't move." He hears himself saying. He inhales a breath of dust and coughs, head spinning from the loss of blood and stuffy air.

"Your GPS is broken. Where are you?" Baekhyun yells, his voice cutting through the static. SeHun grimaces, and just as he was about to give his location, rough hands grab his ear piece. He hears the crunch of broken technology under a heavy boot.

Cold sweat enveloped his body as SeHun turned his head and looked up, blinking back his surprise as he sees a lean boy, not much older than himself, staring down at him in contemplation. The first thing SeHun notices is the gun.

"Name and rank?" the boy questions, gun pointed at SeHun's head as he crouches, bending his knees and rocking back onto his heels. The carefree glint in the smiling eyes shook fear into SeHun's core.

"Why should I tell you," SeHun spits, gasping as he moved too far and his legs screamed in agony. He falls flat onto the floor, breathing heavily as he sees the blurred outline of a pair of shoes before hearing a faint echo of an amused chuckle.

"You're pretty interesting," is all SeHun hears. He blacks out before he could even retort.

--
"What do you want from me," SeHun groans, flopping back on the hospital bed in despair. He turns his head away as those same smiling eyes from the night of the raid look down at him in glee.

LuHan, a drug trafficker by day, paid assassin by night, was giving SeHun a hospital visit.

"Have you thought over my offer?" Fingers trail down the cast wrapped around SeHun's leg.

"The bullshit of you wanting to sell out information about the Blackhand in trade for my body?" SeHun snorts. "I may be a new officer, but I'm not stupid."

"Not bullshit," LuHan hums, prowling around SeHun's private room with a purse of his lips, "more like an exchange, a bargain."

"And what would you gain?" SeHun says, unable to take his eyes off of the lithe body moving around his bed.

LuHan pauses, head tilted and eyes twinkling in mirth, "the pleasure of your body, my dear SeHun." The bed dips slightly as LuHan hovers over him, knees pressing lightly against his hips, and causing him to gasp in shock and pain. He was covered in bruises.

"This bed isn't made for two," SeHun narrows his eyes, ignoring LuHan's sweet smile, "get off."

"Nonsense, any bed can support two people, or more if you swing that way too," Luhan winks, chuckling at SeHun's appalled expression.

"I can't trust you," SeHun whispers, head tilted back to stare questioningly up at the dangerous man hovering over him. "You're hands are painted red and dead bodies lie in your wake," SeHun frowns as he desperately searches the curve and contours of Luhan's face, "why go through all this to bring down the network that keeps you alive?" The sudden dull glare in LuHan's eyes made SeHun shiver.

"I have my reasons," LuHan murmurs, lips curving up into a lifeless grin. He reaches behind him, and SeHun jolts in surprise as a gun shines under the hospital lights. But instead of it being pointed at him, Luhan reaches over to make SeHun's fingers wrap around the trigger and point it at himself. The gun was firmly pressed up against the wool sweater, right over the heart.

SeHun's jaw drops, hands trembling in shock and fear as LuHan's grip on his fingers tighten. If he were to exert the smallest amount of force, he would shoot the man.

"What the fuck are you doing," SeHun breathes, staring at the gun pointed at LuHan's chest and then up to the man of question. This baby-faced assassin was crazy.

"If you can't trust me, shoot me right now. I am your enemy, aren't I?" His words were grave and solemn as the look in his eyes were dull and heavy. But SeHun found a sense of seriousness and honesty on the surface, and he didn't know whether it was the morphine still running through his veins, but something tugged at his chest, telling him to trust the man.

Shaking his head, SeHun remembers the gun still in his grip, and tries to push Luhan away. With a jerk of his arm and harsh nudge right against LuHan's breastbone, SeHun rips the gun away and drops it to the floor. Breathing heavily, the effort have taken more strength in him than needed, SeHun meets a pair of smiling eyes as Luhan gently touches his forehead and cups his jaw.

"I'll take that as a yes," he murmurs before capturing SeHun's lips into a kiss. It was slow and chaste, nothing but a press of soft, warm skin against another.

Unable to lift his arms to push the man away, SeHun just basks in the heat of the older boy, wondering in the back of his mind if this is the right choice to make with a death god.

--
"Why exactly are you selling out the Blackhand?" SeHun asks one night, bare chest rising with each breath. The window was open, and the late night breeze felt cool against his heated skin.

LuHan shrugs, eyes trailing the ceiling in thought as his legs shift and twine themselves between SeHun's. "Don't know," he murmurs, "they'd probably kill me if they found out though." His lips curl up into a careless grin, eyes shining with hilarity.

SeHun shakes his head, rubbing the sudden sleep from his eyes. "You don't worry about anything, do you?" he whispers.

Chuckling, LuHan traces a lazy circle around SeHun's bellybutton. "Do I look like I don't?" he languidly gets up to crawl on top of the young officer.

For a moment, SeHun swore he saw something in the man's lifeless eyes; a glow of truth beneath the faked laughter and mirth. "Am I wrong?" SeHun murmurs, letting out a hiss as he grips LuHan's hips.

Pausing momentarily, as if fighting with his inner self, Luhan looks down at SeHun before slowly shaking his head with a grin. "No, maybe you're right," he whispers, leaning forward for a kiss.

--
"You seem to have an affinity for the hospital," Luhan says, patting SeHun's uninjured shoulder.

SeHun sighs irritably, shrugging the hand away. "Why are you here," he hisses, eyes darting to the door, "there's officers crawling all over this floor."

LuHan clutches his chest in awe, eyes curving up in a smile. "Are you worried for me? I'm so touched," he leans forward, lips hot against SeHun's ear, "But I had to make sure you are alright. This," he runs a finger down SeHun's bare chest, "belongs to me, remember?"

SeHun jerks away from the touch, wincing as his bandaged shoulder throbs. "If that's all you needed to find out, then leave. As you can see, I'm perfectly well and breathing."

"Somebody is cranky," LuHan chuckles, taking a seat in the corner chair, "but that's not entirely why I'm here."

SeHun raises an eyebrow, reaching for his shirt. "Then spit it out, I need to leave for headquarters soon."

"Why didn't you shoot him?" LuHan leans forward, resting his arms on his knees as he peers curiously at SeHun's tensed expression. "Why didn't you take the chance? You would've brought down one of Asia's biggest drug dealers."

SeHun hesitates, trying to think of an excuse on why he didn't raise his gun. Luhan's words were true though, SeHun had a clear shot at the man, but instead, stood his ground and took a bullet instead of firing.

"I wasn't fast enough, alright?" SeHun spits, unable to meet Luhan's eyes. "I have slow reflexes for an officer, but I get things done anyways. So stop asking."

Nodding, LuHan doesn't question him further and stares out the window. He decided he would keep the unspoken secret between them with all the other secrets hidden behind his smile. He was there at the raid, caught innocently between the two groups. And at first he was surprised when he saw SeHun, and hoped to have helped the young boy, only to realize that the young officer was very capable with his gun; not once did he miss his targets. But when their eyes met, LuHan swore SeHun faltered in his steps, almost losing his footing over a pothole on the ground. The boy than promptly lowered his gun, eyes still trained on LuHan, and stood in the midst of the gunfire with a calm exterior. He took the open bullet without a sound, falling to his knees as he brought up his gun again to fire three rounds, each bullet hitting its target, before the other officers were helping him. It was a safe bet to say that SeHun took that bullet because of Luhan, and Luhan wasn't sure why.

"Why do you keep doing this?" SeHun says softly, eyes trained on the tiled floors of the hospital room, "why risk your life and help your enemy? Hasn't the thought of me throwing you away behind bars, hit you?" It wasn't SeHun unless he asked the same question every time they met.

LuHan shrugs, smiling bitterly, "if that's my punishment, then I'll gladly take it."

The loneliness and pain that was so visible around Luhan's frail shoulders made SeHun want to wrap his arms around the older boy like how he does when they are together in bed. But this wasn't a trade. They weren't making any exchanges of information for human contact, so he kept quiet on his side of the room, unable to do anything other than stare pitifully at Luhan with a masked sympathy.

--present day
"So this was where you've been for the past week," SeHun murmurs. He drops the gun to his side as he stares at the motionless body on the ground before him. Closing the door, he wipes the sweat trailing the side of his face as he kneels beside LuHan's beaten body. Untying the bound arms and legs, he turns the man onto his back, cradling the head on his lap as he hisses out his surprise. His eyes were slightly open, dark orbs staring up at SeHun in thoughtless hope as cuts and bruises of all color marked the pale skin. SeHun noticed blood stains on the tattered clothes, and deemed that this man went through hell and back. He was surprised Luhan was still able to breathe.

"Let's get you out of here," SeHun whispers, gripping his gun in one hand and lifting Luhan to his feet with the other. They make it just past the door before men were all over them, firing bullets and curses before SeHun planted a bullet straight in their heads. It's when they reach the stairs that LuHan shifts in his hold, groaning and blinking in pain and awareness.

"Good morning princess," SeHun huffs, grip tightening around Luhan's waist as he fires his gun, "had a good nap?"

"The best," Luhan mutters, voice hoarse and strained. Coughing, he tries to draw away from SeHun's arms. But only ends up frowning at the young officer when he's drawn even closer. "Let go of me, it's me that they want. I sold them out, remember?"

"And I used that to bring my men here, remember?" SeHun stares down at the beaten male in his arms. His eyes soften as he takes in the deep shadows of Luhan's eyes. He won't lie and will admit that he was at his wits end with worry when Luhan didn't show his face for over a week. Have I fallen for him? Leaning down, SeHun places a quick kiss over a cut on Luhan's cheek before turning away to lead them down the stairs.

Voice caught in his throat, LuHan's eyes widen at the sudden show of affection. Fingers tracing the spot where lips touched his skin, his body quavers in surprise and understanding. He peeks up, eyes roaming the sharp jawline and tight tension of the young boy in silent elation. It was the image of SeHun that kept him sane for the past week. The image of being held and touched by the one man he wanted but could never have, kept him from spilling any secrets and away from betrayal.

"SeHun?" Luhan whispers, fingers curling around the folds of SeHun's shirt.

"What," SeHun mutters, scanning the floor as they reach the bottom of the stairs. Ricocheting bullets and shouts of alarm echoed from the two rival groups. However, the officers from SeHun's team were pushing forward eagerly in an early victory.

"Don't hate me too much for this," Luhan murmurs. Before SeHun could ask what he meant, Luhan elbows the young boy, knocking the breath out of him before taking the gun and wrapping his arms around the neck. He drags SeHun away from the stairs and into plain sight, gun placed right beside SeHun's head.

"SeHun!" Kris shouts, gun raised in their direction and hesitating whether he could hit SeHun's captor without actually hitting his officer.

"Move and I'll shoot him!" LuHan shouts, distracting half of the officers from their fights. He pushes SeHun down when a bullet from the Blackhand whizzes by their heads.

"What are you doing?" SeHun hisses under his breath.

"Saving your ass," LuHan mutters, slowly moving alongside the wall. "There's a door at the far end of the hall, fight against my grip and run out. You should be safe there."

"Stop fucking with me and let go!" SeHun growls, trying to pry Luhan's arm off of him in vain. How the hell was this injured man still able to overpower him?

Luhan smirks, hugging SeHun closer, "that's the way. Keep doing it, it makes it look real."

SeHun narrows his eyes, breath heavy against Luhan's arm. "I don't understand. Why are you doing this?" he sounded desperate.

"Because." LuHan murmurs, right against SeHun's ear. He fires the gun, taking a thug down before placing it beside SeHun's head again. "You need to live."

"What?" SeHun claws at Luhan's arms, but to no avail. Just as he was about to speak once more, he hears Baekhyun cry out his name as a body suddenly slams into his and Luhan's side, throwing the two to the ground.

"Luhan," a burly man seethes, bunching up the front of the small man's shirt and lifting him off his feet. "How the hell are you still moving," sharp eyes narrow with a killing intent, "I should put a bullet in your head right now so you stay down like the bitch you are."

LuHan, unfazed, smiles his amused grin, not even fighting against the grip. "Try me," he mutters, "I'll just go and keep your seat in hell warm."

With a growl, the man threw a punch, sending Luhan flying and crashing against the steps of the stairs. The small man stayed trembling on the ground, clutching his head as blood trickled down his forehead.

SeHun watched, eyes squinted and heart pounding, as he tried to regain his breath. "Luhan!" he shouts, fighting against the officers that tried to help him to safety. He stared on with a desperate cry as Luhan slowly got back to his feet. The gun, SeHun's gun, was still in his grasp, and Luhan easily lifted it as he wiped at his forehead. One eye was closed shut and swelling from the impact.

"But you know what, I finally found a reason to live, so I think you should go and save my seat instead," LuHan hisses, clicking the safety off and firing five bullets. They imbed themselves in the man's surprised face, the bullets making a sickening sound as they break through human flesh.

SeHun kept his eyes on Luhan, breaking out of the officers hold and fleeing to Luhan's side. "Are you okay? You're heads bleeding too much," he whispers, gently touching Luhan's forehead. He half carries and half drags Luhan's limp body towards his officers, ignoring their confused glances.

"You're an idiot," Luhan whispers, his good eye squinting up at SeHun. He winces as SeHun leads him out into the fields, away from the gunfire. Placed down onto the ground, Luhan clutches his head in pain, his vision spinning and blurring around the corners. He hears SeHun's words, and feels soft touches against his skin, but his mind was too hazy with pain to comprehend anything other than the constant calls of his name. "I'm suddenly really tired, SeHun. Shut up and let me sleep for a moment, okay? Wake me up when we're at the hospital," he drones, mind flickering out like a candle with the taste of blood on his tongue.

Oh SeHun. Why didn't I meet you sooner?

"He probably had a sense of guilt."

SeHun raises an eyebrow, "guilt?"

Kris stares up at the cloudless sky, feet tapping to a soundless tune, before nodding his head. "Why else would he do it? He felt the guilt of the years of doing wrong and killing people. Red painted his world and burned his hands, so when he came across you, he saw his escape into the light."

Unable to respond, SeHun falls back onto the soft grass, mind reeling at the new thought his team leader had given him. Although having a hunch, that fateful day at the abandoned building confirmed all of Kris's hunches towards SeHun. He didn't question his young officer much, but did ask why Luhan did what he did. SeHun simply shrugged and offered a quiet, "I don't know."

With a sigh, SeHun gets to his feet, patting his pants of dirt and grass before saying farewell to Kris.

"Where are you going?"

SeHun pauses, meeting the elder man's knowing look with a forlorn expression, "to visit someone."

SeHun admitted it. He really did have an affinity for hospitals.

Crinkling his nose at the smell and glaring at the annoying heart monitor, he takes a seat next to the bed with a huff. He runs a hand through his hair in exhaustion.

"How long are you going to take your beauty nap?" he whispers, leaning his elbows onto the bed as he trails his fingers up and down the bare arms. The skin was lightly marred with faded scars. "You said to wake you up at the hospital, so why aren't you waking up, princess?"

The man lying in front of him stays immobile, only the constant beeps of the heart monitor filled the silence between SeHun's words.

"I have so many questions," SeHun murmurs, resting his head onto his arms as his hand clasps around limp fingers, "not that I'll ever get a proper answer from you," he chuckles into the bed sheets, hiding his face into the white fabric.

"Hurry and wake up," SeHun mumbles, placing a gentle kiss over the fingertips in his hand before reaching over to brush the hair away from the sleeping face, "I'm already forgetting how your voice sounds like."

Luhan, to SeHun's eyes, will forever be a contradictory being. Someone who had done wrong in order to do right. He was a picture of innocence that desperately tried to escape the harsh life he weaved around himself, using SeHun as his only hope for being able to step into the light.
