if i wore shoes to big for my feet that could make me cry, but there are no other shoes for me. what is there left for me to do?

say this is a metaphore. do not think literally. instead strive to give an abstract answer that shies away from the physical plain.

Perhaps you should try going barefoot. Who says you need shoes? You will develop tougher skin on your feet in place of shoes.. Who needs expectations when they only disappoint?

well I'd rather suffer from discomfort from my own choice than someone elses... perhaps I'm missing the point, but this is how I see it.

keep looking because there's a shoe that fits just right for everyone. until then... like she said... go barefoot for a while.

Perhaps there are just no shoes for you to wear right now. But how much too big is the shoe for you? Is it drastically too big? Or do your toes just move a bit more freely than you'd like? Yes, barefoot can be good, but it can get old after a wgile. Sometimes your feeet get cold. Maybe you try just wearing socks. They are quite versatile. You can grow quite accustomed to them but if your feet start to sweat too much you can take them off with great relief. But keep in mind that everyone is different. For instance, I prefer for my shoes not to fit, I like to have a bit of room to grow. What do you look for in your shoes?

the difference is so great that is allows for blisters to form. so yes i would say drastic. i would say i just look for a fit.

expanding on this train of thought...

barefoot would suggest a more rugged approach to things or that confinement of any kind, even one such as a "loose shoe" is undesirable and unneccessary. a naturalistic approach if you will.

Several thick pairs of socks would serve the same protective function as a shoe but would have a varriance of texture that could form a new outlook. They would be more likely to fit but when worn for long periods of time, cause discomfort and possible foot fungus. It is important to allow the feet to breathe no matter what covering you put on them whether that be shoes, socks, fip flops or whatever. But fit is important but not the most important. Protection from the elements/terrain is all shoes are really good for...and hey if the shoe is loose that means you can fling it at someone if they get on your nerves too much...easy to dispose of in a manner of speaking and better than ones that are too tight

so to you this is a matter of protecting ones self while maintaining freedom from limits that imposing such protections may in place.

yeah pretty much...kind of like acknowledging that some protection is necessary while at the same time, not living behind a wall.

Why wear shoes, why go barefoot, why do anything at all? do what you want to do. if you want to wear the big shoes go right ahead, if you want to go barefoot, in sock, flipflops, roller skates, etc. do what will make you happy and what you feel is right, screw others if they don't like the descions you made.
