I saw this movie called La Vita è bella [Life is Beautiful]

If you haven't seen it, I suggest you do so.
It's about this family during the Holocaust. They get split up in a concentration camp and the father makes elaborate and funny excuses for every terrible thing done in the camp to convince his small son that it's all just a game.
