Better comments on all three chapters tomorrow (pinkie swear) ... short version is that I read everything and LOVED it. I don't want this story to be over, but I adore the setup you've built. :)
That has to be about the most perfect opening line yet: even a savior can't save everyone. I loved this chapter for itself, but I also loved it for the dominos you've stacked up waiting to fall now. Emma has realized that she has no choice but to kill Rumplestiltskin (with all that implies -- not just the ordinary changes for anyone who kills for the first time, but also if you kill the dark one you take his place). And Regina has just been through several of the important methods of character torture and been rescued by love. I can't wait to see the fallout from all that. Some of the imagery in this chapter also was -- well, I'm running out of different words for "beautiful," but it was. I can see the different settings in Storybrooke, and I can see the ice cracking all around Regina -- and I can feel the lukewarm and cold of the magical connection.
