Cuddy sat at her desk, struggling to regain her composure. She knew there was no way she could drive home in the state that she was in, and she knew she did not want anyone to see her the way she was either.
’That didn’t just happen.’ she said out loud, hoping the sound of her voice would block out her brain. She brought her finger to her lips, where she imagined she could still feel House’s, firm and sure. They came back sticky.
She licked her lips, tasting the cherry sweetness of their kiss, the residue of his familiar lollipop.
