It was cool in her garden, and he was glad she had given him the chance to see it. He was learning more and more about her every day, becoming entwined in her net.
‘I don’t know why I wanted to show you this.’ Lady Heater said. ‘But I thought it was something you would understand about me.’
He did. He understood the organized chaos or the scenery, the way the scents of different flowers melded into one. The uneven grass and stones beneath his soles. Her one place of solitude she chose to let go, to become free.
‘Thank you.’ Grissom said.
