He took the cover off her and gave an appreciative nod. He had kept up with her- the chrome sharp, the red slick, almost liquid. He ran his hand down the hood of the convertible and looked up at the sky. He inhaled deeply, and almost swore he smelled her. That was impossible; she was gone with every trace of snowflakes or ice skaters.
House hopped in and put her into drive. He had waited for a perfect day like this, not even the prospect of Cuddy’s reprimand could deter him. House floored it, green leaves alive in his wake.
